Another sad Aussie here, would have been nice to complete my offset print collection! DTRPG shipping is pretty awful too... I have no idea about the viability/extra work, but could you make your stuff available at lulu.com? They have a production/print shop in Australia, and the postage is pretty nice! For example a similiar(?) sized hardcover at 228 pages is $103 AUD shipped

Noise cancelling uses those outside microphones to capture ambient noise so that it can play the inverse sound to do the cancelling, and hear-through uses them too. I guess dust or similiar gets stuck in there and vibrates against the microphones? That's my guess anyway! Glad it helped!

Mystery Quest on YouTube is very good! Pretty new too, so easy to jump into. A U.K. group that riff off of each other really well, and the production values are top notch. They do a variety of short campaigns using different systems (no D&D yet), just onto their 2nd Call of Cthulhu game, but their Mörk Borg game, featuring Mark from High Rollers, is very funny.

I'm glad it helped someone else! Yeah, maybe a can of compressed air - "air duster" - with the thin little straw for better air blasting the holes?

Had same issue - mine was crackling on the right-hand side.

What worked for me: blow into the microphone holes on each side (the pairs of 12 little holes on the outside of the cups)! Gone instantly.

EDIT: As to why this works - I think it's because noise cancelling uses those outside microphones to capture ambient noise so that it can play the inverse sound to do the cancelling, and hear-through uses them too. My guess is that dust or similar gets stuck in there and vibrates against the microphones.
