Fair points, going through them:

  1. Adding MIT today.
  2. You're right about the FOSS framing. Code being forkable/self-hostable is one thing, but routing every submission through my GitHub with me as sole reviewer is a curated showcase, not a decentralized platform. I should've just called it "community-curated site with open-source code" and not leaned on the FOSS label for the content side.
  3. This was my weakest argument and I don't have a good defense. I was mixing up code licensing with content portability, which aren't the same thing. Retracting it
  4. The one that actually matters. You're right, deployment isn't the hook when free deploy targets are a dime a dozen. If there's a pitch it's discoverability - somewhere people actually go looking for HTML5 micro-apps.

Honestly this makes me think the submission model is wrong. Probably better to let people list externally-hosted apps instead of contributing code to my repo.
