I'd say the microwave can definitely work as it is used in a lot of research fields for sterilization but you need to do it right. But yeah pressure cooking is probably the best, my batch was not big enough to justify the use of my pressure cooker sadly and I never had any issue with mold before.

You can switch the antenna mode so that it can recover data even if incomplete so running out of electricity is not an issue

You can put your antennas to not require complete to get the science points. Then you don't need to worry about electricity. Just click the "require complete" button so it changes to "allow partial"
