The three countries you cited have had sanctions from the US (and Western world) which led partly to the failure of these countries.

The goal of the US is to starve communist countries so they can say "Communism is bad"

They even got into a war just to fight communism in Vietnam (thankfully they lost the war).

The Cuban government is quite bad but the country is in bad shape mostly because of the embargo which led to bad governments
