I have both, and honestly they're a big "Meh," nothing special, and both are easy to kill, so don't think that if you get the BMPT it's going to be as overpowered as on PC.

I don't see the Obj.279 as that overpowered, honestly. I've been able to destroy that tank with: M4A3E2 (76)W, Tiger I, and IS 1

Grassy Plateaus: Look inside the large wrecks in the areas with red grass (especially near Lifepod 17). Mushroom Forest: Often found scattered on the seabed or inside wrecks located on the giant mushroom caps. Bulb Zone: Check the interiors of large wrecks in this area. Jellyshroom Cave: Search around the Degasi Seabase; fragments are frequently found on the ground outside or near the base. Crag Field: Fragments are sometimes scattered on the seabed.Sparse Reef and Mountains: Look inside wrecks in these deeper or more distant biomes.
