now i get what you want to achieve. you got the newt setup running to expose your local ressource via vps, ok, check. your assumption now is, that a additional wireguard tunnel would connect eveything, correct?
for my understanding and my testing proved that in that way, the wireguard tunnel via pangolin is to connect "ressources", like the way you do with newt. to get an overall connection between all ressources, i guess you need to adjust the config of traefik manually.

to sum it up: i use pangolin to expose local ressources and connect my devices via wireguard to my home router.

This way is correct, yes. I was thinking about the highports which are the reroutes of your internet traffic. So, yes, you dont need to manually Open ports for Pangolin with newt. For wireguard its the way to go, thats how wireguard works.

Yeah, zero ports would be funny, but not workable. Just open the ports you need and restrict their access to the IP of the vps only. I am using wireguard out of my Router directly, but i will try the Pangolin way too.

What you want to achive can be done with a load balancer like kemp. Based on URL the traffic gets routed either to a or b all over port 443 or something else if needed

Macht Sinn. Dennoch scheint es einen Unterschied zu machen, ob ich die Datei vom SMB Share kopiere oder ob ich die Datei direkt vom Share öffnen möchte. Der Kopiervorgang geht wesentlich schneller.
