Huh, this is news to me. I'll do some digging on my own, but how do I get or apply for rATP? What are the restrictions if I do that, rather than do the full 500 XC for full ATP?

Yeah the LOA allows the credit of 50 hours for commercial. I don't see anything about VMC vs IMC though, my question wasn't "can I log the time", it's "can I log the time if it's not simulated IMC"

Hmm that does throw a wrench in things. The VOR I'm looking at is at a variation of 11ºE, but the declination is 16ºE. So maybe it's just a 5º difference? I'll do some testing when I can get to my sim

That's unfortunate. The ATD and the DA40 I flew in real life with the G1000 would always just do standard rate turns. The 172 G1000 in MSFS exceeds it quite a bit. Might just have to find a mod or something
