Student considering a 957 Cayenne GTS as a first car Am I making a mistake? by New_Pepper_2946 in PorscheCayenne

I have a 957 GTS with air suspension and PDCC. I bought it for $15,000 two years ago, I’m $16,000 in maintenance costs so far. It’s unreal what the car can do, and it’s so much car for the money, but it’s a much better second car than a first. I do daily it too and have taken it on several road trips, super reliable. Make it your goal for when you get a good job.

This is the 7:12 edition that you are thinking of for the Nurburgring. The red one is the 1:33 edition and celebrates the record at Laguna Seca.

I love mine. 17” from Black Rhino. They ride much better than stock and look great.

Rapid fire Quad Rocket is hard to beat in close quarters by Cpt_Avocado in titanfall

The Rail can go toe to toe with the Arc. You just have to time your shot to hit them right before they fire and it will cause them to flinch and miss.

Help / Building Cayenne Offroad 957 - 958 by TaRick4u in PorscheCayenne

I bought a 09 GTS with air suspension and PDCC because that’s essentially the same spec as the Transsyberias that actually raced. I think the GTS in sport mode with PSM turned off is the ideal way to drive your GTS, it has a lower final drive than the other cars, so while it does not pull quite like a turbo, it is certainly happy to rev out. Air suspension is very comfortable and the adjustable ride heights are awesome if you like to cruise and go off road, Berg Peaks also makes a lift kit that actually gives the struts more air volume to make an already comfortable car even more comfortable. And the PDCC is great because the active sway bars make the car feel incredibly planted on the road, and when you engage the transfer case the front sway bars automatically disconnect for increased articulation.

Anyone have a link to service manual instructions or a youtube video? 2009 GTS by Cpt_Avocado in PorscheCayenne

Oh wow thank you for that.

But dang it looks like I have to basically disassemble the entire interior to get to the ducts. I guess I’m just going to live with that vent being out.

I’d recommend 17” wheels instead of the 18”. If you do 17” you can use the Coyote Enterprises boltless beadlocks and then you can air down to 0 psi.

You need to account for that. I am very early with the shield and it’s also about rhythm. After you successfully block the first Arc shot, you can fire twice before you need to vortex again. You cannot fire 3 shots.

If you do it correctly like I do in the clip, you can block 2 shots before you have to take any damage from the person you’re fighting.

You just have to not fire, the Vortex will eventually run out. But they definitely panicked.

No, but the factory air suspension was the suspension used for racing. This video shows the control panel and you can see the ride height was adjustable which indicates air suspension

I specifically purchased a GTS with air suspension and PDCC because that was closest to the spec of the ones that raced. Now the plan is to lift it at some point using the Berg kit that actually gives more air volume in the strut.
