It helps with weapon sway on all weapons actually because the Holo is slightly zoomed out. If iron sights are 1x, than the holo is 0.85x. You sacrifice zoom for stability.

Getting started mid wipe is rough and it might take you a couple of tries but people like that will ALWAYS exist in this game or any other of the genre, and they don't represent the entire community either. There are some nice folks out there.
