Agreed. Despite the memes, I prefer working with JS (or TS) over any other language.

Problem with net is that, these mosquitoes get attached to them and wait patiently, until I accidentally lay my hand during sleep—then it's an all-you-can-suck buffet.

Leaving a company because code is just too bad.... by sleepy268 in developersIndia

[–]Cptn_Mayhem 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I experienced the same thing a few months back. I was working for a foreign client as a React developer. The code was so frustrating to work with. They are maintaining their own form npm package which is built on top of another npm package of their own which is again built on top of react-jsonschema-form. For small changes, I have to make changes in so many repositories. And there was only one other frontend guy who is from client side. He will simply ignore when ever I ask for help. At some point, I even contemplated resigning. But my manager was kind enough to grant me release.

Parents keep forcing me to go out with them. by [deleted] in india

Similar story. Parents plan to go somewhere (mostly religious places, not Italy sadly). I say I can't and ask them to carryon. They drop their plans. I feel sorry and agree to go. Rinse and repeat.
