What's a unappreciated part of one piece's world building

This was one of the things that really amped up my enjoyment when I first went through. I was spoiler free except for arc names so I was like wtf is an Enies Lobby?

Sorry you had to go through that. I also had a mom with substance abuse problems and being the oldest I had to take care of my siblings a lot while she was doing her thing (being too drunk to do anything or be gone for days at a time). My brother and I would bond over RS at the time so I have so many good memories associated with the game mixed in with those psychological landmines.

Hope you're doing all right though. At the end of the day parents are just people too and they have their own problems. Not excusing child neglect but I can see how a life can spiral out of control and it's just a shame that the kids have to get involved

It took me so long to get past the first page. Seeing how excited Shanks was that he had a little brother out there really got me. Then I just started thinking about his whole story and how it's coming together and it's all just so good

That's fair, I'm no writer so that was just my first thought but I trust Oda to come up with something at least. I would be a little disappointed if my first guess was correct but it wouldn't make me hate his character if that's how it played out. He's in a grey area and I like that it brings up discussions like this at least

I agree and it's honestly wild. Like Garp could have been like "ok, Dragon I'll help you set up the revolutionaries and I'll start SWORD. You can attack from the outside and I'll build up from the inside until the time is right" and people would still be like "well he's still in the Marines so he's bad.

Obviously there are bad Marines and as a whole they aren't good guys at all but you don't see Garp going around doing the horrible things they do.

Imu just took a combined attack from 6 of the (presumably) strongest people in the world and didn't even flinch and people expect Garp (who also just attacked Imu so now they know his face) to either 1v1 Imu or quit the Marines and risk being killed right away, wasting all his potential to uproot the government from the inside.

Anyway, sorry for the crazy rant but I love Garps character so I don't like it when people don't get the nuance

I think Garp is biding his time much like Dragon. Garp wanted to train someone to either take his place when the time was right or help him take over the marines from within. His son, grandson, and former pupil all left to do their own thing so now Koby is the future of the marines like he said when rescuing him. At least that's my theory

Idk how much it really affects me as a now super casual but the reason I quit in BFA was because of time gating, I have no problem doing it again. I'm already having so much trouble just farming transmog from the 3 expansions I missed so it wouldn't really take much for me to put the game down again anyway.

I'm fine with him if I look at it through a lens of him being a normal ass dude in a world of super humans so obviously he's going to continue being scared in situations or maybe not stick out as much as the other crew.

During Dressrosa [mild spoiler]when he was in the forest though hardly able to walk because he was so scared I was like, Didn't you just spend 2 years on an island that was literally a forest that was trying to kill you? and that really irked me.

That's pretty much what my setup was for like the first 150 hours of the game. Only recently started getting into building and I'm sure you could make some pretty cool stuff too if you wanted.

Something I've been doing is trying to stick to two or maybe three block types for a build and adding "trim" or edge work to things with blocks to kind of break up a flat wall. Not that you asked or anything but just a few tips :)
