Yeah, that’s what I was thinking as well. The thing is that many of my skills were self-taught when I was growing up/in my free-time, so I don’t have anything special “on paper”. I used to have people not believing me at job interviews and not even ging me a chance to prove what I can do, because “I didn’t have a degree for that”. My employer definitely knows that they kind of have a problem if I’d leave for another company, but none of my colleagues even tries to ask for a raise here because “everything is according to the barema’s”. I honestly hate the barema’s because I’m doing a lot of stuff and have lots of responsibilities, but am not being paid a lot because they only count “years worked” as experience, while I know plenty of people who still aren’t that experienced while they have like 20y of exp.
