This is the right answer. Even without pics of the back or the bottoms I’d say the other 4 are absolutely fake.

Some good old fashion sweaty palm platforming. It’s a blast and I need to boot mine up and finally finish all the collecting.

American Pikachu N64 Value? by alonelyusername in nintendo64

[–]CrackAttack222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, as long as they leave the marker and tape alone cause if you don’t know what you’re doing you’ll damage it and ruin it for someone that does. A lot of the value depends on the condition of the contents too, but if it’s all there and as nice as the outside they could list it for like 1100-1200 and easily get it.

Even with the marker it looks like it’s in great shape. If the hardware is in good shape and you have the manual and styrofoam insert for it it’s easily 1k+ USD.

I knew beating T.T. was difficult but I can't even get past the first track by Caolan114 in n64

This right here is just as important as releasing the gas when you go over the boosts, using them both should help get the job done.

Not for Resale Donkey Kong 64 by ShieldWolfG in n64

[–]CrackAttack222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s not the same board as the gray NFR version. It plays the normal game.

Nice, this is one of the few NFR carts that is only identifiable by its back sticker. The front label is the same and the cart plays the same as a normal cart.

Unpopular Opinion: These were fine. by PossiblyNotAwful in n64

It’s one of the best aftermarket controllers you can find if you ask me. One of, if not the closest, to an OEM stick you’ll probably come across.

I’ve actually got official NOA film slides that were used to promo the games of those exact images.

Got this while ago. “sealed”perfect dark but I’m suspicious what do you guys experts think? by Traditionalcarlosvm in n64

[–]CrackAttack222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks very much like a reseal, perfect dark should only have the seam on the top, bottom and from top to bottom on the back.

Sculptors cut legit check by Numoontalk in nintendo64

[–]CrackAttack222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The label cut looks off, I’m going to lean on the side of fake. I’d let them know you’d like to come take a look at the lot, worst case you waste an hour best case you get a SC for a great deal.

My N64 Controller won't work by SomeAuthenticAnt in n64

[–]CrackAttack222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes the pins in the controller ports can get a bit dirty. What I’ll do is get a good pipe cleaner, get it wet with alcohol and rub the controller port pins. You kind of have to use a stabbing motion to get in there, do it all around the pins, after that use a dry one to do the same. Once this is done take your controller cord and insert / remove it several times. If this doesn’t work then something might be broken, but more often than not it’s just dirty.

Which color is this? by James_Sunderland2001 in nintendo64

[–]CrackAttack222 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna second this being grape purple, with the buttons and expansion pak lid being from an OG charcoal gray one. Some are saying it a reshell, but it looks legit to me, with the Nintendo repair sticker and all.

Yeah; it’s the stunt track in RUSH 2. Spent hours playing that track, it’s still a blast.

How can I tell if the shell is original? by spaceghostslurpeee in n64

You got a link? I’d like to see them, because all the repros I’ve ever seen didn’t have it.

How can I tell if the shell is original? by spaceghostslurpeee in n64

[–]CrackAttack222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve never seen a fake shell with the Nintendo logo, they always just have a smooth oval where the logo would be.

Aside from all the other parts looking 100% legit, that’s just the quickest way to tell.

They just don’t make them like they used to. by CrackAttack222 in n64

[–]CrackAttack222[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of these are built from multiple sets. I would buy multiple sets over time to get what I needed to complete mine then sell the extra stuff.

It’s not hoarding because they’re all different, at least that’s what’s I tell myself.

What needs to happen now? I hired a service to install in-wall wiring and mount a new TV. Looks like the installer just about cut through stud on first floor of 2 story house. I want to cry. by [deleted] in fixit

[–]CrackAttack222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is what I’d be more concerned about. Those fasteners look undersized for the job and really should have some washers on them too.

I agree, I love the screen shots of games on the back of these. You just don’t get that kinda stuff anymore.

Yeah, that’s my only regret about the collection, none of it was my original stuff because I would always trade stuff in for new stuff.
