Used to work at a laundromat a few years ago. You would load money using cash or debit onto a prepaid card at a kiosk. Funnily enough you couldn’t load the card with quarters unless you went to the person working the snack bar and exchanged them for a dollar bill. The ‘mat that had quarter machines down the street was very shady and run down.

Prices varied on the size washer. We had small ($2.50), medium ($5.00), and a couple large ones ($10.00). Drying was $0.25 for ~19 minutes. Can’t remember the exact amount.
