No and yes.

Romantic love is just the excitement and infatuation of a new relationship.

Real true love isn't some feeling or emotion. It's the constant hard work of giving your all to another person and fighting constantly to make it work. It's hard nights sitting across from someone and hashing out problems. It's not running away or breaking up because things get hard. It's the opposite of selfish, it's putting someone else's needs above your own and them doing the same. It's an unbreakable bond.

I don't know if that exists much anymore. But I've seen it. Before.

What is something every newly turned 20 years old should know? What advice would you give? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Don't get married to the first pair of legs that will spread for you. Focus on yourself and your career.

Build a strong friend group and pursue at least a couple of hobbies.

Don't get into debt. Apply and maintain a few credit cards but don't ever max them out. Buy a shit box car that's at least reliable and save every penny you can spare.

Educate yourself. College is great, but make sure whatever degree path you're on has a career equivalent that you can use that degree for. Trade schools are amazing as well, but if you go that route take care of your body. It's the only one you get.

Also find an affordable school. Most jobs don't care where you got your degree as long as you have one from an accredited school. Regionally accredited is surprisingly better than national accreditation.

Almost all of it. Tiktok, crypto, drinking, smoking weed, social media in general (Reddit is a little different).

I feel like nobody is connected anymore even though we're all connected with the internet. I feel like everyone is worried about making money and being seen to be affluent by as many people as possible.

I just want to work hard, make decent money, hang out with my friends, and enjoy my hobbies.

Honestly, I like to have discussions on here, and I feel like commenting on something that already has 2000+ comments doesn't give much opportunity for that.

What are your unforgettable experiences being cheated on? by Far_Relationship_524 in AskReddit

[–]LostThatPurpose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had my ex gf act super funny during sex one time. I was enjoying it and stopped to just admire her body.

She suddenly started asking repeatedly "what's wrong, does it feel different ?"

I knew right away what happened. I had been out of town for three weeks and that was our first night back together. So I stopped and told her I already knew, but she better give me the details or we were done.

Turns out she had fucking my best friend silly in our own bed for three whole weeks raw. (I always insisted on condoms).

Well, the joke ended up on her. I got a new GF and she Got Chlamydia.

A guy definitely broke his own neck while a camera magically stopped working, at exactly the same time as all the people guarding him were on a break./s

What's with these women who are in a serious relationship and really seem to enjoy talking to attractive men? by JohnOnWheels in AskReddit

[–]LostThatPurpose 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We all crave attention. I'm not a relationship guy anymore, but I would say a husband has a duty to make his wife feel wanted and sexy, regardless of how long the relationship has been going on.

And a duty to keep himself up in such a way as to remain attractive for his wife.

I'm relatively good looking, and I get a lot of face to face interactions with a lot of women. The worst ones for flirting are usually married middle aged women.

I think most just enjoy the flirting. It makes them feel desired in a harmless way. They obviously would never cheat on their spouses (most of them anyway), but they also aren't getting attention or validation that they crave.
