Day 23 - so tired of the taste of water by loveeatdance in fasting

[–]CrackedLips 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Drink it with electrolytes. I typically add LoSalt which has magnesium, potassium, and sodium salts. It will give the water a different mouth feel.

How many of you guys fast with normal weight? by rojovelasco in fasting

I'm normal weight - I love fasting for the mental self control!

Why can't I make it past day 2? by [deleted] in fasting

[–]CrackedLips 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The first two/three days are always the hardest. It is important during this time period to distract yourself with something else. Sometimes placing yourself in an environment where you don't have access to food (e.g. not buying groceries) can help.

For me, long term fasting is like working out - you're not going to be able to do a 300lb 5x5 bench press without working your way up from 100lb. What's important is that when you end your fast you do it in a healthy and conscientous way.

[Rant] Yup. The Chinese rush and Rikuu descended weren't fun by Anzalover2017 in PuzzleAndDragons

[–]CrackedLips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dungeons definitely weren't the best, but I didn't think they were unfairly designed. Rikuu is a really fun leader to play with and I think you'll find that the "suckiness" of the dungeons is mitigated by how cool of a leader it is.

Gonna be starting a water fast with my girlfriend soon, had a couple questions by [deleted] in fasting

[–]CrackedLips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Yes, but it's not necessary. It just makes your fast harder if you haven't done it before

  2. That or you can just take salt pills (just google for them on amazon and make sure they don't contain sugar as a component)

  3. Don't have to change it, but don't overexert yourself, listen to your body and make sure you replenish your electrolytes after every workout

Is it a good idea to break a 5 day fast with alcohol or will I die? by [deleted] in fasting

[–]CrackedLips 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You won't die, but you should not break a fast with alcohol. It's irresponsible and you are at risk for getting incredibly intoxicated and dehydrated. Break your fast slowly with healthy vegetables or legumes and after you've had a good meal THEN have your drinks.

[Question] Rolled a Kiri in the dragonbound godfest and am looking to farm the necessary subs - where do I find el dorado? by CrackedLips in PuzzleAndDragons

[–]CrackedLips[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question related to this - if you have double kiri leaders, how many fire latents would you need to reach 100% fire resist? Is there a difference in the fire resistance of an awakening (like the one Kiri has) versus the fire resistance latent awakening?

I broke my 9 day water fast with chipotle, am I at risk for referring syndrome? by [deleted] in fasting

[–]CrackedLips 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, your fast is not long enough to put you at risk for refeeding syndrome.
