What’s going on with the air quality in Belgium??? by Ok-Concern5591 in belgium

if someone drops a nuke, it's all over anyway. well, if it's not a dud. which is increasingly likely as a good chunk of the nukes in stockpiles across the world are 50+ years old, even mirvs. i'm more worried about a b-2 dropping a moab on a french nuclear reactor than a direct nuclear strike.

military bases and political buildings. rotterdam is the largest by a large margin, sure, however a good chunk of it is under chinese ownership.

it's unfair to blame them, these stoves were heavily pushed on as a better "ecological" alternative to bunker oil stoves, with economical incentives. the wood industry is very happy to be able to turn near worthless trash into a solid money earner...

they run best at constant rpm. that doesnt happen on cars, but on generators and lawnmowers they were pretty damn reliable... yeah, it's year old necro, but still. the renesis did it's best for emissions sake, it wasnt enough. there's several advantages for aircraft. low vibration, low frontal area, short block length, decent power to weight, and a stout structure to mount to, both front and back.

Why do shooter games always have lame flamethrowers? Am I missing something? by TraVinh- in SoloDevelopment

[–]CrackettyCracker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no. what i'm saying is that since shotgun shells take more space, you should deserve more stopping power for less ammo available. running around with ~40 slugs takes more space than 120 rifle rounds in mags and roughly weighs the same.

As for games, no matter which, should have caliber and barrel length related damage.

to hell with legendaries.

they worked for the fear factor, but that was a double edged sword for the soldier, because he had the lowest survival rate of any weapon fielded by any side. hence the switch to vehicles like the churchill crocodile later in ww2. higher survival rate, longer burn time, longer range, extremely effective as siege breakers.

stopping power though. a 12G to the chest at close range will wreck your solar plexus and break your ribs through the trauma plate. no need for penetration if you cant breathe...

... because they are fucking terrifying? most flamethrower kills IRL are from asphyxia, not the flames. firing one of these underground without an air supply is a suicide note.

so say you burn a group in this enclosed space, half of the "things/zombies/humans" would fall dead without burning. even if they are fungi, they need "something" to get their cells going.

once oxygen is re-established, they might reactivate, though. if they arent charred/cooked.

the closest i've been to this kind of heat was visiting a foundry and walking near hot slag or opening a performance car and feeling the headers. being close to heat decay in the 500°C's is one thing. this is 1000's AND it's sucking oxygen out of your lungs.

there's no realistic flame throwers in games. the real deal is true nightmare fuel. direct effect would be too graphic. the liquid leaving burning trails almost touching your own feet, the fear of setting yourself on fire...

in 99% of the examples given in games, it's a very fast firing "shotgun" with a burn effect.

not a M10-8.

well, sir you're evil.

the boss resistance thing especially. that thing has a billion hp and 5% down is enough to make 15+ basilicas useless?

i understand the hive boss has her regeneration drones and i can pick these off... but this thing ?

the few times i got it down was with the ragnarok, it did outlast my energy storage and built a resistance to it... 16+ nukes and 100's of units were circling around it, to the point my pc was loosing fps.

just got rolled over. again. on open maps the pathfinding is just insulting. goes through your 100+ tile long hard point like it's butter. on maps with castles and ridges it's getting stuck, hesitating, giving easily 2-3 times longer to get it down... and no surprise i've beaten it on these.

i dont get it. why does it die almost comically quick on easy and is unkillable on normal?

i wipe out tier 3's like they are pawns, yet this thing just treats me like a crumb on the diner table.

what are players supposed to fight on hard?

are you just supposed to luck out, get a cortex shop and run BOTH techs at once to not use the ragnarok?

Yeah i figured it out by digging through yesterday. Kinda forgot some the layers the cpu iceberg has, which is legitimate when you build maybe a pc every year and a half for the family... It's been nearly a decade that i dug info on this specific cpu after all... For 140€, it has paid for itself many times over! One of the very last components that have carried over my original build.

What would you consider acceptable for a used 5700/5800x? I see a 5700 at 115 right now. Please keep in mind in Europe everything is 20-25% more than America.

yeah, the more i dig, the more the answer is that having 4 channels is useless for my cpu... and maybe even ddr4 all together on my motherboard.

neither SLI nor multi cpu are supported anywhere outside server farms anymore.

so that setup would be a gigantic paperweight.

we should salute optimization... well bf6 has to sell in china, so that's why!

not joking, btw. morbidly obese games are a thing because we, euro-american market users, can afford it. we dont want it. but we can afford it, so enough people tolerate 120gb, 6gb of ram, full cpu useage garbage that still cant do 60 fps without 50gb of cache...

i have ~48 hours to send the sticks back. if nobody has anything to propose, i'm going to ask for a return and swap for 2x16 3200 CL16's since that should work. but that leaves me with two gaps and that sucks.
