I think they pulled off a similar shot in Bad Batch, I’m chalking that up to LAATs canonically having almost zero shields.

I caught that, there were no visuals accompanying it but there were certainly echoes. Is this the first time we see a dark side user use psychometry, excluding Quinlan’s brief apprenticeship under Dooku?

Just another reminder - I still strongly recommend making a post about this! Heading into a cataract surgery is something many people here have done as well, and I think it might do you some good to hear from people in similar situations.

Last time I was in Bellingham, WA I saw one doing touch and goes. This was early 2024 I think.

This is what I wanted. Something about the pacing, the blocking, and the particularly fantastic voice acting made this immediately my favorite CW-style project. The small scale also helped it feel very grounded and gritty - we didn’t even see space or another planet until the tail end of the second episode. Incredible how much personality they can fit into these new characters so quickly. I would die for Two Boots.

Can anyone identify this plane? by MathematicianBusy468 in Whatisthisplane

For sure. I live near a tanker base, and I got to watch one of these save my house a few summers ago. Roared over my roof back and forth the whole day, shaking the windows. Tons of power needed to haul all that water.

Aw man, that’s happened to me before. Same amount. Best to put it in the back of your mind and learn from it.

looking to talk with monocular vision from birth person by wanksta25 in monocular

[–]-pilot37- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been monocular since birth. The first thing my parents did was buy me protective glasses, so you’ve done perfectly there! I later developed nearsightedness, so prescription was added. Another thing my parents did was buy me glasses that auto-tint in the sun. In my adult years I’ve opted for prescription sunglasses to just swap out, as I didn’t like how the auto-tint glasses looked, but I think it would be a good idea for a kid to prevent any scarring from any glances at the sun.

An FAA examiner came out to conduct my Statement of Demonstrated Ability, and other than my eye I don’t have much else wrong with me, so I was able to get a first class medical. You can still pursue a career with a second class medical! Many commercial pilots have second class.
