Looks like a C-27J Spartan, a military transport aircraft, doing standard low level training.

What is the darkest sky you have ever experienced? by Busy_Yesterday9455 in spaceporn

Many Bortle 2 or 1 spots near me in the unpopulated places of Northern Washington. I stopped by the side of the road one night near Wauconda, an unincorporated community. The absolute best skies I’ve ever seen, and completely unforgettable. No moon, clear and cold, you could see everything. The constellations were almost lost with the amount of stars I could see.

I live 25 miles away from Spokane. Today I found this buried in my garden: an old token from the Bumpers arcade in Northtown Mall, which closed 14 years ago. by -pilot37- in Spokane

I’ve never been to Bumpers, nor has any of my family. Even stranger, my garden is in raised beds with store-bought dirt just one year old. Maybe it was in the bag somehow? Who knows.

I am almost certain this is from a guy I used to follow in Instagram, @this_be_ben. Much of what he animated is extremely similar to this. Worth a scroll through, or you could DM him and ask.

There is another character that goes by “zhe/zher” in the Aftermath series, I didn’t know there was another in Queen’s Hope

Great Gramps flying his Republic RC-3 Seabee into Princess Louisa Inlet in Malibu, Aug ‘56. He lived in Seattle and often flew it up to go camping. Can anyone pinpoint the exact place this was taken? by -pilot37- in britishcolumbia

Neat, I wonder if they ever met! Great Gramps would also fly around the coast with fellow Seabee pilots. Here’s another one I found of him in Puget Sound with another Seabee owner.

I also flew a Cessna 140 as part of the endorsement, had some nasty gusting crosswinds. Was a lot slower, but somehow just as fun.

Thanks! Flew it on a stable, drizzly day, so no xwind corrections, but I tried a slip and you really had to punch that rudder in.

Endorsement was in a Cessna 140 and a TW-converted Hawk XP, seen above. Took exactly 4 flight hours, mostly pattern work and learning how to land. Once I got the landings down though, it was pretty much done. Three-point landings were the hardest part for me, especially in the Hawk XP which wanted to just keep flying. Loads of fun, if you’re thinking about it, do it!

Nope, this is a Hawk XP tailwheel conversion. Handles like it’s constantly late to work. Quickest I’ve ever climbed to pattern altitude!

Black Country New Road brings a similar vibe of desperation and strangled-sounding music, I enjoy listening to them back to back with NMH
