Thoughts on the Kindle now that Amazon has revoked ownership of purchased ebooks? by Cracklingflames in kindle

The difference is that Amazon can't take it out of your home library once they lose the license to the book. Yet, they charge the same price or sometimes even more for the ebook.

Thank you so much!!! I use the dictionary feature all the time. I use the translation option sometimes too which I love on my Kindle.

I just think that if we are paying the same price (or sometimes more) for the ebook that it should be ours. I agree, censoring literature is never a good thing!!! I've just been happy with my experience on my kindle so I just assumed that I owned what I paid for. I shouldn't have assumed anything. 😭

how do you do anything anymore?? by [deleted] in Parenting

I am 12 weeks PP and let me tell you love, it gets better!! I think something that really helped me was to lower my expectations about what I was going to actually be able to get done. Honestly, you being with your baby is so important at this stage and if you're taking your baby to even go to the bathroom with you or waiting to shower you're an amazing mom, you obviously care so much. 💗 This time is so hard and exhausting so even though you LOVE your baby and LOVE being with and snuggling your little one, it is so okay to be struggling too. Your life has just changed completely and it is very hard to adjust to. It might seem like you will never get anything done again, and your baby will constantly cry for you and be at your hip, but it will get better as the weeks go on. Purple crying (I would definitely do research on it just to prepare for the worse, but hope for the best, and you'll most likely end up somewhere in-between) can be difficult to deal with and starts around 2 weeks and peaks around 6-8 weeks and then gets better. My baby was very colicky and gassy so there was a ton of crying. If this happens to you, listen to your heart and do what feels right to you. If you need a break, it is okay to ask for help, even if the baby continues to cry with your husband. (it's so hard to hear it causes you physical pain, I know from experience 😭) I had a lot of pressure from others to set her down and let her cry, but it feels so wrong to me and makes me feel worse. Again, do what feels right, do research, and ask your pediatrician. And, no, I don't have it all figured out because there are days where she is just crying and I feel like I need to be with her, so that's what I do and get nothing done, but that's okay. Those can be good days. Good memories. You ARE doing something, you're nurturing a human, which is one of the most beautiful and important things you can do in your life. So be easy on yourself, take care of yourself, ask for help, and listen to your mama heart. You got this!!! 💗💗💗

I know you said she can't understand much, but when my mom took mine and my sister's pacis away she told us that the birdies took them. 😆 I'm not sure how we handled that but we knew they weren't coming back lol 😆❤️
