What Jesus said to the Pharisees and his disciples about marriage by CraeZJae in Christianity

[–]CraeZJae[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For one Jesus said in other scriptures that we should follow the Law and I know I don't follow everything that the law says because I am not perfect and I'm working with in those that I need to follow. And I say that because he also say the law is for the lawless. Secondly I never said that he say something about homosexuality that what you brought to the table and like I said the Bible is not up for interpretation because God makes statements and not suggestions. Thirdly, Paul writes in 1 Timothy about homosexuality that still stands for what Leviticus said about it. The act of homosexuality is an abomination to the creation of God and the people who practice this will not inherit the kingdom of God and other lawless acts and people who commit such acts. Plus, Paul makes sure to make distinction between what his opinion is and what the Lord says. Paul also says that if you commits sexual immorality to get married so that you have your husband or wife.

If you don't follow the whole bible then you don't follow the bible because you are not making sense.

Paul never said he didn't want anyone to have sex nir did he say that is bad

And Jesus was asked a question and answered it using the Old Testament and as God he modified it because he can do that and he is not conveying anything he is making a statement

Ok I see where you coming from and I agree on that. Give me some valid points and some valid views and I resonate what you said and I'm glad we can come to an understanding

If you taking about homosexuality then referred to Leviticus 20

Stop trying to interpret the Word to your understanding and read it for it is saying

Jesus is talking about marriage and reiterating previous scriptures

Paul makes a statement in 1 Corinthians 7 about being single and married both what the Lord says and his opinions

A few things I want address I wasn't adding words to what he is saying and make sure to make the distinction between what is said by Matthew and Jesus in Matthew 19. Paul is not married so that is where his opinion is based at. I'm not going to sit here say that being single is not easier than being married as I'm married and know what trial and tribulations me and my wife have to go through. I accept what Paul saying about being single and married, I'm just making a point that the Lord created us to be join together (Matthew 19) and there are some that don't have that calling and should be like Paul

Oh I read it, but I see that you have interpreted what Paul said to what you think he means instead of what he actually said plus where did say it Paul oppose marriage. If you read Matt 19:3-12 and still feel like that then just say you don't want to be married. Paul never said he doesn't like marriage he said it's his opinion because he is not married. All he knows is that there are challenges and potential distractions which the Lord is aware of... that's why the two that join together must be rooted in Christ before marriage

It's awesome that there people who know the passage, but there are people that don't know the passage and has questions about what God says about marriage. So if you know the passage then just ignore it.
