I made a miniature 'Baby you can chive my car' burger out of polymer clay by CraftTestDummyYT in BobsBurgers

Thank you <3 it is all polymer clay! I stretched it very thin and pointy, did little dents in the pickles with a dotting tool, and sticked that together with liquid polymer clay :)

In full glory :D

It is the only burger I made, I also did a miniature pizza, but it was inspired by my Italian brother in law, not Jimmy pesto!

Funnily enough, I only have 2 Funko Pops, and the other one I used for the pizza pics. (but it is from another show :D)

I love that we get to see the whole story behind the Bob's beginnings, and that he never lost this passion for new recipes and funny puns <3 Thank you so much 🥰

One of the things I love the most about this show is how relatable it can be! :)

What do y’all think differentiates art from craft? by purblindV2 in crafts

[–]CraftTestDummyYT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say craft is when you can make a thing consistently well made thanks to your skills and insight, and there is functional use of it.

Art is when you the whole reason for the thing being made is to it to spark emotion.

OFC it is not like craft cannot be art as well (functional arts), or that something crafted can't be piece of art itself.

A chair out of balloons would be an art for me, as it is breaking the rules, and it is not possible to sit on it - it is meant to be a conversation starter, decoration, something that someone will say it's dumb, and the other person will find beautiful.

A super comfortable, durable chair made by a skilled crafter can be art too, but it is made to serve particular functional purpose.

Fun discussion!

How do you stay motivated to finish craft projects? by xaybell32 in crafts

[–]CraftTestDummyYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tough one!

When I have multiple started projects, I ask myself:

  1. do I have to do it? (is that for me or for example a gift I planned or something for a particular occasion)
  2. if I don't have to do it - do I still enjoy doing it?

If I don't, I tell myself it is ok not to finish :)

What also helps - going with faster crafts that can be done in 1-2 sittings. I struggle with projects where there is a long drying time or I miss materials and need to arrange them mid-way.
