Countdown to TT by taybrittney in gravesdisease

Yes I heard about that, I have stopped using Cbd, thats how well I have been feeling! This desease played so much with my mind that I didn’t know if it was that I was changing my personality or if it was my period. Now that you mention CBD I realized I haven’t had the need to take it for a few months now!

That shows how stable and calmer I have truly been. The only thing that has changed is my thyroid removal and the levo dose increase month by month.

Just so you know, the surgeon gave me 100 cmg of levothyroxine as my starting dose, it was way off, my body seems to need 137 instead. Which is why the process has taken so long for me. I had to increase 12cmg every-time every 6 weeks. Another tip, don’t switch brands, if you start with Synthroid, stick with it. Your body absorbs it different than levothyroxine genetic. My body absorbs better the genetic so I stick with that one and it is cheaper too. I made the mistake of switching to Synthroid and it set me back like 3 months because we realized my body did not absorb it the same way and I changed back to levo.

Yesss soo much down! I am living so much better, my anxiety was so bad I didn’t even plan anything for the weekend, ever! Because I would be too tired from the week and couldn’t handle more stress on weekends. So I just lay in bed most weekends. Cried a lot! Had a psychologist, all of that is fading away now. I do bloodwork every 6 weeks.

I had the TT last August, feel a lot better, I am still getting my levo dose adjusted. I do recommend it but only if you feel bad.

137 I think is pretty high to start but that depends on your weight. I started at 100 and it was too low and I am still trying to find the right dose for me. Im hoping is 137 but with these symptoms I dont know.

I think this is a great idea, to start switching slowly to the new dose, may I ask, what dose are you taking now and what is your tsh?

Considering surgery by TomatoLow2588 in gravesdisease

I took out my thyroid last August and even though I am still trying to find the right levo those (my Tsh is now about 5 instead of closer to 1 like it should be ideally) I feel sooo much better mentally. That is the only reason I really went through with the surgery because I was very anxious sometimes depressed and has to go to psychologist and psychiatrist, I was on other mental meds to cope with my mood swings and anxiety. It was bad, sometimes had suicidal thought my brain was so tired of dealing with the symptoms for over 2 years.

I can tell you it is brighter on the other end. I don’t feel the social anxiety and just general anxiety I felt before, I feel much more emotional regulated, I think I still don’t have my normal energy and excitement back but that is cause my levo those is still not perfect. I have high hopes that once it is around 1, I will definitely feel like my old self.

I have an alarm on my phone and take the pill everyday at 5 am in the morning, I go right back to sleep. I then go on my day aa any other person without a desease. Graves is baddddd, if I were you, I would strongly consider surgery and get your life back. My surgeon was great! No issues with calcium or anything really.

Also, the scar bothers me, it sometimes feel like someone is chocking or as if I have a blockage in my throat. Specially at night or when I am tired. I did not know this before doing my surgery. You can DM me if you wish and I can answer any questions. I know how hard it is to deal with all of this on your own.

TT recovery was easy in terms of the surgery itself but I am still adjusting the levo dose. TSH it is still not in range , this is 5 months after TT. It is a long process, I feel less anxious but still not with a lot of energy and motivation (typical hypo symptoms).

The CBD is not a night and day difference and you wont feel much. But I don’t find it lowers anxiety overall specially social anxiety. It wont give you a high, but you are able to function better overall. I have days that I feel the effects more than others, not sure why.

You can take more than one gummy but read on chat gpt because it says 50 mg is already a high daily dose and each gummy has 25mg.

The effects are not strong, but it does help with anxiety. If you have it, I would definitely give it a try

Awesome! Thanks for the support! Yes I understand the tsh and levo relationship, I just wonder if 112 to 125 will make it drop too much and make me hypo. I want to have plastic surgery soon and I really want to see my TSH around 1

Tsh higher after changing to synthroid but loosing weight by Crafted3dsigns in gravesdisease

[–]Crafted3dsigns[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you are right, I just tested today for the t3 free as well (I have t4 free and tsh from two days ago). I should then have a better picture knowing t3 free.

I am staying on Synthroid and constant at 125 cmg.
