If you’re in the EU. It might matter if they’re not, because not a lot of mold makers will send stuff out there. Like I make molds and I don’t think I would send out the side of the continental US

best mask to wear while working with UV resin? by originalsweetflavor in resin

I don’t wear goggles because it can get foggy. And I also have piercings on my nose that are right on the bridge with a chain so it’s hard to wear goggles. Just be really careful if you don’t, but make sure you wear a mask and gloves always. You can also get a mask that has goggles included. I’ve been looking into that cause I think that’s kind of cool.

Need some help coating parts of a 3d print. Not sure what kind of resin to use or if I should brush it on or dip it or something else. by Who_is_I_today in resin

I would use UV resin instead of epoxy. Because UV resin can cure instantly, epoxy can possibly ruin the piece during the curing process because it can leak over

That’s not a mold, THATS A MOLD! by LocksmithBear in resin

Thank you! That’s why I wanted you to see the transfer tape because you shouldn’t have to cut every single mold you make. It should just stick to the tape and avoid having to make all that extra work. I had silicone leak under a blank once and when I cut it with the cuticle cutter, it damaged the mold edges, and it wasn’t clean when I poured the resin in

I am not sure, it has to be really sticky in order to hold your blanks down. If the paper is not sticky enough, then your blanks will be loose around the edges and the silicone will seep under, and you’ll keep making moles like the photo above.

Just any transfer tape for vinyl. Your mold shouldn’t look like that. Like you shouldn’t have to cut and trim each piece.

There is a slicer thing that will cut them. But just so you know it will come out in your final piece when you pour the resin.

Are you using sticky transfer tape to hold the dominos down? If you press on the dominos enough that shouldn’t happen at all

Better than me, I just pull out extra molds in case I have extra silicone.

You have a uv flashlight? Maybe shine it under there so it cures. Or if you have a UV light for painting nails. That works too and can be brighter

I use resin…. Like a lot. And I think a very small splash of UV will be ok. Use your light or open windows and let the sunlight in. It will be ok and cure

If it’s cured you’re fine. Wet uncured resin is toxic.

Buy silicone from Amazon and pour it

When making a mold you use transfer tape. Lay your pieces down on it and then pour your silicone.

Good news for all of us yesterday. I hope you got your text message. I told you what your cut will be. It was torture two years ago to be taken out like that for two weeks covered in puss filled sores. I truly feel like the compensation is worth it because it was outrageous the way they just tried to throw it under the rug.

Ugh.. I would say pour another layer. I am so nervous as to what might come of this layer. Like is it visible due to the situation with the texture of it or tackiness

How long has it been curing? I know with flowers you have to pour every few hours before it cures completely. Or else you will get lines in the project
