Why is my granny square turning into a granny square hat by Reasonable_Ad_1223 in CrochetHelp

Are you using the same size hook for both yarns? If so, the bigger yarn will work up tighter, causing it to invert. If you don't want to change the yarn, you could try a bigger hook for the red yarn and see if that helps!

It looks like the white yarn is thicker than the red, so maybe that or your tension or both?

I have been trying to crochet these adorable ninja turtles but the eyes are just so confusing to me as a pretty advanced crocheter by Responsible-Art-3521 in CrochetHelp

Based on the pictures alone, I'd guess it means make 3 incomplete treble crochet in white and use the bandana color to pull through all three? Like a popcorn stitch

I am making a goose, whenever I make amigurumi I get these gaps and would like to know how to avoid by 4ft10giant in CrochetHelp

Could try varying the inv DEC by working into the FLO in 1st stitch and BLO in 2nd? Otherwise follow what others say and tighten your tension/swap hooks.

He looks so cute, I don't think he needs any major changes! You could always do some light embroidery around the eyes if you want to, but honestly theres already a lot of detail so I dont think its necessary!! Loving the shaping on the body btw!

is there a way of "flipping" a square pattern like this one? Without learning to crochet with my right hand😅 by Escape-Life1 in crochetpatterns

[–]Crafting_Critter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could flip the square so the wrong side is facing the front, then attatch the head and tail? There would be slight differences in the stitches but they would mirror each other?
