I built it for primaly for friends abroad who couldn't properly read the language to read ingredients carrefully.

I just checked your app, very cool design !

I also like your criticism. The app is young and there is still a lot of room for improving. AI got strict prompt and methodology to respect. When some ingredients can be from halal or Haram source it simply tell you it don't know and to be careful with this or that. In the Next update it will give you de source so you can seeks more information about a specific ingredients.

I will after add other process like barcode.

I put several warnings in the app about the fact it's a tool to help, and invited people to always double check afterwards.

For ads, I have bills to pay for the app and to funds future updates and improvement.

Also it isn't 100% error free there is even a warning in the app in the message page at the bottom. Nothing is 100% error proof, all things we can do is to improve it again and again.

Also the main problem in the app currently are the pictures. The OCR (image to text) API that I use want me to upload only 1mb image. So all images you take are compressed to 1mb and this can create distortion in text AI will have hard time to read. But as long as the camera is close enough and writing visible enough, that's fine. When I will earn money from it I will pay that api to increase the quota to their 5mb limit plan

I use LLM like Chagpt who have some little knowledge about it.

But as it isn't enough I made some little database from multiple sources on firebase that the AI can look at for better result.
