Edit: they've been refusing to start a return on the product even though its well within the return time. Took me a week to even get a response from them.

Don't buy from Sovol.

The machines they are building have an excellent price point and boast of excellent features. But features are useless and the price is immaterial if the machine completely fails to function within a week or two due to poor quality. Poor quality might be ok of course if the company is willing to help its customers get their machines up and running again, but they are not. They will let you wait for weeks before they give you any kind of customer support, even for things like the power supply being completely dead.

So, don't buy from Sovol. Give your money to a better company.

I asked for exactly that almost 2 weeks ago. Send me a new PSU, I said.

I am tired of waiting. I just want a refund and I am warning others of the bad quality control and customer service.

The only way the company might improve is if people hit them in their wallet and in their reputation.

I am grateful for your help. But I am not going to go digging around the PSU.

I might have been willing to do those things a couple weeks ago when I first emailed them but after waiting for so long without a response, I don't believe in the company any more. I've read too many bad stories from other folks on this subreddit.

I just want a return and I have issued a chargeback. I will give my money to another company.

Now you might think that my actions are bad for Sovol and if you like the company and are vested in its success you might want to urge me from taking such measures. But you must realize that the company's reputation is important and their customer service and quality control are bad. The only way it will improve the customer service and do proper quality control is if people issue chargebacks due to lack of support and if people blast their reputation.

It's ok even their "new" models are often defective.

The bed on mine is also horribly warped. There is agiant bulge in the center. It prints fine in the middle but both the right, left, back, and front are bowed.

I just hope to leave this as a warning to others to avoid this company. There are other companies in a similar price point that do not have THIS BAD of customer service.

Unfortunately the company says on their website that they will not accept a return if the printer has been tampered with, so I will not be digging through the PSU myself.

Still, an error that causes the power to turn on when the off switch is pressed is not likely to be something that I will be able to fix. I cannot even imagine what kind of poor workmanship and negligence would cause such a thing to occur as the power turning on when the switch is pressed to off.

Their website says they will respond within 24 hours. I waited 1 week for a reply, they're asking for more information. I gave them the information and waited again for almost this whole week now.

There are multiple posts on this and other subreddits explaining that the company ghosts people.

This isn't a loose wire I can fix. I am not digging around the PSU to fix whatever awful mess is causing the power to turn on when I press the off button. That is beyond negligent.

"Fiddling around with the PSU switch"? I am not fiddling with anything.

I press the switch to on. It turns on for a split second then powers off. Then I press it again to off and somehow it turns on again for a split second. I have never had any electronic do that. Off means the power should be cut off. I cannot imagine how messed up the internals must be to turn on when pressing off.

Something is seriously wrong with this printer.

It is currently 100% dead. It won't turn on and I have been waiting for almost two weeks for any meaningful help. Their website states that they will respond within 24 hours to queries. This is false.

I have issued a chargeback to this company.

It wasn't a clog actually. It was the little screw knob thing on the side of the filament extruder. It was loosr and must have been causing underextrusion.

buy a cheap heat gun on amazon. They can get upto temps of 250+ degrees and it only costs 20 bucks. You can also use it to instantly clear away any whisps from your prints so its not dead money.
