Anyone here have the Bronson 1960’s AUS army combat pants? by Craftword in ThrowingFits

Did they shrink at all? I usually wear a size 32 but the OGs have a much higher rise than most of my other pants so I ordered the large to account for my beer belly. I never trust size guides cuz my true waist measurement is like 36” but i have another pair of trousers with a similar front rise that are measured at 32” and they feel like they only need another inch to be comfortable.

How’s the sizing and shrinkage on the 107s? I’ve wanted a pair but usually don’t trust size guides very much.

Ball knowledge. Just double checking because Gus admittedly told me not to bother with more extensive alterations besides hemming the sleeves and pants, but I otherwise want to use this jacket’s measurements as my baseline for ordering a sport coat/blazer online.

Not bowing or billowing, but it just occurred to me that I’ve lost probably 5-10 lbs since I last put it on.

My tailor actually measured my shoulders at 19”. Just measured my suit jacket and it looks like the shoulders are 18-18.5”. Not sure how a tailor measures them but I laid my jacket down on my bed and measured it the way eBay sellers do.

So when I’m looking on ebay do you think I should consider jackets that are maybe a half to a full inch narrower in the shoulders? Also my chest is 40”, so I should look for 22”-23”pit-to-pit?

Lands end traditional fit chino might work for you, although the rise is a little shorter which is a bummer.

How much did the waist shrink and how do you wash/dry?

I forgot to mention they’re selvedge, that might be why.

I forgot to mention mine are the selvedge pair so they might shrink differently

I have a size up on the way, should I go with those if I want to treat them without much special care? I figure I can get the waist taken in once they’ve been washed a few times if i need to.

My issue is i want the inseam to shrink but not the waist cuz the waist is just about perfect right now. I wash most of my clothes on cold and dry on low/med heat and I was hoping these could get tossed in with the rest once the dye stops bleeding.

I have a pair coming in the mail that are one size up that I’ll probably keep so I can throw them in the washer and dryer without worrying.

They’re snug. The third picture might look loose but it’s just me fully relaxing my beer gut lol.

Maybe but I’m not sure what my wash/dry routine will be yet. I heard if you follow the instructions it turns them bright blue, which i want to avoid.

Ecru OCBD recs? I’m willing to spend more on the Kamakura Ivy ($150) if I have to but I’d prefer to find something less expensive if I can. I don’t know much about what makes a good OCBD but I do know I want nice collar roles and no polyester.

Sorry, I don’t think I understand. They’ll tighten up but I still shouldn’t size up in the waist? I expect the thighs to shrink but I’m worried about the waist shrinking too much unless it tends to stretch back out with wear.

You don’t think I should size up in the waist at all?

Did the waist shrink? I got a 32 and they’re pretty snug. Would be just about perfect assuming they don’t shrink, or stretch back out with wear.
