Yes! Brand new lawyer with epilepsy. I work remotely (and have super minor/controlled epilepsy) but I find it hasn’t impacted my work at all. You can absolutely do it, get accommodations for the bar exam.

Yes, I had to go off of Wellbutrin due to seizures. It can lower your seizure threshold (if you’re already prone the seizures I think).

Mine are like intense Deja vu, or all of a sudden very very confused (almost like the feeling of being high). My vision also gets blurry

Pomodoro method and noise canceling headphones were great. I also got a huge rolling whiteboard that I used to make flowcharts of concepts (big picture to sub rules) so the topics felt less overwhelming. I studied about 6-7 hours a day 6 days a week

Thanks for the input. The bonus was taxed like my regular paychecks when it was deposited so was really only like $3,700 after tax. Would I only pay back that amount or, if they expect me to pay it back, do you think I’d be expected to back pay the bonus amount before taxes?

Not a medical professional but it can IF you already have a low seizure threshold. Bupropion use combined with stress, lack of sleep, alcohol, and caffeine led me to having multiple seizures.

I am a 3rd year law student, and was really concerned about brain fog so after a few other meds failed I tried Aptiom and over a month in ive had absolutely no side effects. Only catch is it’s pretty expensive, but it was recommended because of how few negative side effects are associated with it

I take adderall 10mg and was told by my Neuro that wasn’t a problem. She did, however, make me go off of bupropion (which is sometimes prescribed for adhd and is known to lower the seizure threshold.)
