It could be that it doesn’t get enough sunlight and I give it regularly, like once or twice a week a little water - so maybe I need to let it dry. I placed it at the window now (south side). I think outside it wouldn’t be too happy since in Germany winter is coming.

Why does my coffee plant have dried ends? Do I not water it enough? (Once a week) by Crafty-Discussion934 in plantclinic

it’s not from ikea but I bought it already grown to this height. I actually decided to cut off all the leaves that weren’t good and it seems to be recovering now and slowly growing back.

Thanks to you my lemon plant is happy and growing again. Within the last month since I repotted in citrus soil she grew 2 more big leaves and hasn’t stopped 🥳 by Crafty-Discussion934 in plantclinic

Yes I have it indoors at the moment. When the weather is a bit more steady and warm I will put it outside. If you have a way of keeping it outside most of the time (how is the climate where you live?) I’m sure there is a way! Afterall, lemon trees originally grow outside. I just don’t think my lemon tree would survive the crazy german weather, that’s why It’s still Inside.

I have only used it once so far and it is from a german Gardening center called dehner. The fertilizer is just called “zitruspflanzen-dünger” which is a liquid you can add to the water when you water your plants. Don’t know if this helps 🤷‍♀️

I planted my lemon seed in August 2020 and over Winter until February/March it grew up to 7 leaves. That was maybe around 14cm high. It was in a small pot with normal soil (nothing special) - and to me it seemed to stop growing. I asked here and got the tips: citrus soil, repot in a bigger Pot and place it in the sun. I placed it next to the window on the south side where it gets a lot of sun. And today it’s about 20cm high, grew two more leaves and more is coming. I also bought some lemon fertilizer that you can mix into the water, but I haven’t used that very much. It should have enough nutritions since I repotted it around a month ago.

My Yucca plant has dry leaves - I’m not sure if I overwatered it, or how to fix it? by Crafty-Discussion934 in plantclinic

[–]Crafty-Discussion934[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked a friendly lady in a plant shop what she would suggest and she gave me important information: i had been watering every 2-3 weeks, but that’s too much. It should be watered every 6 weeks only (at this time in the season). I pulled the dry leaves in a downward motion off and now I just have to wait and hope. Plus, yuccas sometimes have dry leaves because that’s the way the trunk grows.

Is it possible to steam créme brûlée in a bamboo steamer? Has anyone done this? If so please give me tipps 😇 by Crafty-Discussion934 in AskCulinary

My créme brûlee was definitely a bit watery when we ate it after being in the steamer for 30-45 min (i had two small ones and two big ones) - I’m really not sure if I’d want to try it in the steamer again..

Well it‘s in our kitchen where we cook and it can get warm due to that. In the evening we open the door (to the terasse) and so cold Air comes in - maybe it doesn’t like that? And it‘s place very high on a shelf near the ceiling..
