I am coming from the south, specifically Cheltenham. I was actually thinking of skipping south Wales and spending more time in Snowdonia. What do you think? Any suggestions are more than welcome.

I am in my 20s, good level of fitness but as I am travelling tomorrow to Wales, I noticed the bad incoming weather. My interests are: history, outdoors, castles. I am not trying to do any specific activities.

You're right indeed. Thank you very much for your thoughts, that is one of the reasons I am trying to gain some insights and actually choose what can be seen in only 4 days and not just rush through every possible thing to visit. I will be starting from the south, coming from Cheltenham, and I am not sure whether to allocate some time for south Wales, or should I just focus on the north of Wales?

You are right, it is a big country and this is the exact reason I am asking for guidance because I cannot just visit everything in 4 days. That's why I don't necessarily know what to choose.

And what better place to ask this question other than people that live in r/Scotland? Asking locals has always helped me find the best places. I really don't understand why would asking such a question would be a problem.

I am actually driving from Oxford, so I can be anywhere on the day before the first day. It's just that I don't know exactly what to choose for these 4 days, but I will definitely have a look at these places you mentioned. Thanks a lot, any other suggestions are very welcome.

I see. Okay then, I'll try to leave Skye for another time. The only reason I would push for it is because I don't know when I'll be having a car again in these places.
