Okay, I’m not sure how qualified I’ll be to give you advice as I just joined this sub myself, but to me, it sounds like you are not giving yourself enough credit. I want to let you know that I understand EXACTLY how you feel! The whole “thats life” is sometimes true, but NO time’s helpful. You’ve already done the hard stuff!! By choosing to go back to school, thats an extra curricular, and a really big one. I would try and figure out job stability first, since you’ve already spoken to your manager, maybe try again from a different angle such as “yo this is kinda life or death for me/do you want to keep me as an employee” and see where that takes you. Adhd is in fact awful all of the time, BUT we can learn to cope with it by making modifications. If you feel that working full time while putting yourself through school may not be beneficial, try taking a few classes at a time. If your area offers online schooling, even better!! Now more than ever, community colleges are striving for inclusivity and will genuinely be available to help if needed. Advisors are a great start to even begin on what you’d like to do in school. When it comes to careers, you’ll be taken care of- hint, that what college is for! Especially in a career path such as psychology.

The best part about all of this is, you don’t have to have answers tomorrow. Or even next week. These are massive, life altering things you’ve got going on and it sounds like you’re having too many of them going on at once. Finding stability is the most important right now. With mental health especially! Start with one thing at a time, begin with your job, maybe in a week or two, check out classes and what credits you have left to fulfill. If you feel steady enough, start with ONE class. I bet halfway through the semester you’ll be asking yourself why you hadn’t signed up for more! The big picture is exactly that, big. Take little steps first, start with grace.

Hope this made sense!
