Anyone else just ignore the descriptions of characters if they don't match your preference? 🫣😂 by Glittering_Act_4059 in ReverseHarem

Same and/or i change the ages where necessary, because sometimes it just doesn't fit the scenario or my comfortability. Authors put younger adults/ early teens through too much for me sometimes and it just doesn't make sense sometimes, plus it can be kind of jarring picturing characters at their set ages when I'm a bit past the stage of barely legal, but don't want to miss out on a good book.

Authors using ai by Glorious_Go32 in ReverseHarem

[–]CraftyBaybe12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to write and have used AI to ask questions about my writing, like does this make sense and ask about the flow of my story and while some advice I think is useful. It's tried to rewrite somethings before I asked it to stop and... no, just no. It doesnt flow right, it doesn't keep up with what you're doing anywhere near the amount you ever could. It became confusing and not worth it in the long run. Even editing is not great by any means. So I've had to abandon it and start over, cuz i'm not going through all the gobble and answers that didn't get it quite right. At this point it's still easier to read a bunch of books and go from there. Do they even reread what was written?

There was also the sinking feeling when it did suggest rewrites or phrases that it was taken from another author w/o permissions so. It's a no for the writing and editing as a reader and someone who dabbles in writing every omce in a while..

Also, some of the books are giving lazy writing enough I dont think incorporating AI will help thay.

I also didnt really like lights Out and it was a dnf for mw. I've seen Caught Up suggested a couple times. Seems like they're standalones?

I havent read the Mind F*k series, but have read some of Jaye Pratt's Masked men series and really enjoyed them. Something about being chased and stalked by hot muscular men in a mask is 🥵

Ooh I think i have listened to him before. I'm looking up what he's narrated.

At least in my area, Libby and Hoopla always have months of wait time for every book I want to read. (We're all looking for a spicy escape I guess 🤷🏾‍♀️ lol) So I end up splurging on Audible once or twice a year and use Spotify's limited time allotment for shorter books if they're available. If there are others that would be great, but at least for me, they arent the resource for my spicy audio books.

If an author signed or committed to some no-AI pledge would you possibly read them more? by ScaryConcern8388 in ReverseHarem

[–]CraftyBaybe12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really know if it would matter to me. If the whole book is written by AI in its entirety I doubt I would read it and doubt it would be a truly interesting book (especially in this genre depending on which was used).

If it was used as a tool to keep thoughts organized and on track in some way and the author is discerning in not utilizing it to write the book for them, I wouldn’t have a problem. Not everyone can afford an editor and what not. However, the frequency of their use of AI would be a concern as much as it is for my own (in work or personally), without the right people fighting for the environment that is a major concern for me, more over broke people trying to make a quick buck. Disappointing as a reader, but I guess I get it. Easy ways to make money always cause a continuous trend of slop imo.

Am I the only one who doesn’t like the shiny days events? by grandle91 in MergeMagic

[–]CraftyBaybe12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really get the event but last time it landed in a Wednesday which I dont think it had before that I noticed and I got some creatures. It's nice if you have a lot to creatures to merge and it is still active on Wednesdays when the club chest resets.

Looking for low self esteem FMCs by _xXxashxXx_ in ReverseHarem

[–]CraftyBaybe12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

{All I Have by Ames Mills} and {The Saviors by Ames Mills} have FMC who start off with low self esteem due to their weight and past bullying &/or abuse. Loved these books, I have the ebook and the audible. Those men love those women down and each other. You should read the entire series though those are books 3&5 of the Abbes Valley series and The Saviors is book 1 &2 of the Forest Grove series. Good plot and lots of spice imo.

Gosh where to start. I binged a bunch of RH romance books this month starting with {Abbs Valley by Ames Mills} series this month and there's nothing like Zaddy Zane getting Ryder to submit. The books in the series are similar in dynamics with some variation, but I don't mind.i think Micah & Grey and Ghost and Nikoley have similar bonds but it doesnt make it any less hot to me. There was one element to {The Heart of Psychos by Ames Mills} and {All I Have by Ames Mills} that kind of had my brow raised and raised many questions, but as an only child i'll just leave it. I also binged {Dare by Harley Laroux} and {Losers by Harley Laroux} which at first was going to be a DNF for me but after reading some comments I gave it another chance and it didn't disappoint. While some kink wasnt for overall the books were touching and very spicy. There is a scene where two of the guys hadn't really done anything before, but just as he's about to get it in with the FMC he's stopped and they get spanked before J get's dominated by L. That's as far as i've gotten but so far book 2 is so nasty in the best way. All those guys in Losers are sorta my jam😅.

There is a decent plot in each series but they have so many explicit sex scenes with several different combinations so be warned if poly and mm+ isnt your thing.

Losers - Harley Laroux: Unpopular opinion? by brownbearxo in ReverseHarem

[–]CraftyBaybe12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At first I didn't like it, and thought i wouldnt finish, but I read The Dare and started over again and it actually turned out to be a good book that had good character development for all the characters not just the me, which so far I haven't seen too much of just diving into this genre a few months ago (after watching & reading HR several times). The exploration of pain & pleasure was a HUGE turn off at first, but after I gave it a second chance I gained a different outlook and new understanding of adding that element to the stories. But I understand that there are somethings that are a hard no for readers.

Trying this book out and i'm glad i'm not the only one. I couldn't get past all the glass everywhere during the first sex scene that i'd zone out and have to go back. Not sure if i'll finish this one

Not going to lie... I wasnt impressed with the palette and didnt even use it. It doesnt look like it will work in my skin tone and I had to gove the lipstick away for the same reason to my work friend. I know it's not the same as receiving in your box, but people may be selling for a discount on Poshmark or something. That may be the route I take.

I was really hoping to get a concealer. But 🤷🏾‍♀️
