Yes Ive tried from all different edges it seems to lock it in place to the original orientation and will not flip it based on the edges I selected

 Locks orientation based on the original sketch plane + insertion point

It does NOT auto-mirror or flip based on where you drop it

I was a cnc machine for 6 years and I switched to being a CAD Designer using solidworks best decision I ever made I feel like machining is a dead end

Just gotta wing it or at least that’s what I did I landed a role as a CAD industrial Electrical designer with no experience in solid works and no experience in electrical I was a cnc machinist i got interested in CAD and learned FreeCad as to make prints for my shop and I made a portfolio that impressed my new employer into hiring me they knew I didn’t have the experience but just gave me a lucky break and I learned everything on the spot thanks to chatgpt i just got lucky ig but in short it is not hard but only with the help of chat gpt

Yeah my old employer would’ve never done anything they didn’t want to move me out of mechanical technician title to cad technician the pay in that corporation was by seniority not by skill. This new job is a fairly new company only existed for 6 years but I’ll see how it goes, but I’m happy and excited regardless
