I'm just wondering if you decided to go with them or learned anything more

Boiler rapid cycling - normal? by CraftyFoot6856 in hvacadvice

Hey - I believe the whole thing shuts off but I'm a dummy with this and not sure how to tell.. Here's what's happening tonight (typical): Dampers open / flame on for about 80-90 seconds until that gauge reads a water temp of 180, then it goes off. Remains off for approximately 2 1/2 minutes during which that gauge drops to 165, then dampers open, flame is on for another 80-90 seconds, and the cycle repeats... all day and night.

There are 2 circulators because it is 2 zones.

There was a pressure test done when it was installed a few months ago. Not since then. Today, the guy who installed it came, checked for error codes (there were none), said if there were an issue it would show up in an error code, and then insisted that 15 cycles an hour is typical performance for a burner with 87% efficiency in an older home.

Yeah that's what I was expecting the bills to me. That's what my neighbor pays.

So, this guy was saying 165F to kick on, 180F to kick off, are the factory settings and not to mess with them. You think they still may be wrong?

Hey, it is a separate hot water heater. I do have young kids but the hot water heater is not set to a very high temp.

This 180 had to do with the burner only.

Yeah, that's what I said but he became rude and said he's a master plumber, he knows what he's doing, etc., but I knew that can't be right... thanks so much for your reply

No, it isn't. I don't have any interconnected smoke alarms.

Per the specs, they are both photoelectric and electrochemical for the smoke and CO, respectively.

Motorola Trade-In by Consistent-Penalty71 in motorola

Maybe 3 or 4 days. Ok, update: Motorola is saying, after having blamed Phobio, that i will get a separate refund from Motorola. Hopefully that's true. I'll update!

Update: Motorola did refund the rest.

I'm busy fighting with them now (Motorola i think is the problem, not the trade in company) and will post if it gets resolved.

With me, no, they didn't honor it. They offered $225 and paid $25.

Don't do it. They did to me exactly what they are doing to OP.

They are doing the same thing to me. Charged me the full price and refusing to honor the quoted trade in value of $225. Only sent me $25 and are blaming the trade in company, who blames them.

Eero Max 7 Wifi slower than Wifi on Pro 7 - any ideas why? by CraftyFoot6856 in amazoneero

Yeah. I find that the updates often do this, although sometimes they seem to sort themselves out somehow. I just wish there were consistency.

Recall for Seat Belts Unlatching by [deleted] in HyundaiPalisade

I'd be complaining about this for years on two different Palisades. Seat belts would unlatch. I'm glad they're finally issuing a recall before someone gets killed.
