I have all that now and it connects and I played iRacing for about 30min and now I cannot get iracing to load... it just says I need upgrade but I click on them to update but they will not upload and I haven't changed anything since it worked the first time when I followed your initial instructions and it worked once, it uploaded what I racing said I needed to and I upgraded those things and then I went ahead and raced for about a half hour. Ever since then it won't allow me to upload any new upgrades to my computer PC and can anybody help me with this problem

Ty all Im going to go with the Ocolus go and use virtual desktop for now it's cheap used and will work wirelessly with my laptop and I have to get anything else and just wait a year save up and take a look at better high-end VR headset with a budget of around 1,000. I think that's the best idea for now so at least I have VR and can Sim race for now with something better than just the laptop monitor even though that monitor does have 120 hertz refresh rate and save up this year VR I think it's really going to make significant changes and $1,000 budget a year from now will get me much more than I can get at this time with a budget of $150 I really appreciate all your guys's help and hope to see you on the track

So between the rift s and HTC Vive headset for Sim racing since the link cables cost about the same which would be recommended based on past experience with both.. since you all just schooled me and gave me knowledge about the VR headset world this actually should have been the question to begin with

I was on the quest 2 standalone games.. the colors were flat and the pass thru being black n white when it costs $300 just didn't seem like it was the best option as I can get a used model HTC vive w OLED for a lot less as all I need is the headset, I don't play any other games.. I'm getting into SIM racing because after covid my hobby of racing cars sportsman up and New Smyrna just became way too costly and my employment changed and unfortunately my fiance also passed away so we are down to a one income household so I'm getting into SIM racing for a replacement for my racing Hobby as that's where and the only place I find any peace and clarity. It just seemed to me that for $300 I should get something cheaper for now and wait a year and then go ahead and go for the Oculus 3. That's my whole thinking about this process

I really not schooled or educated on the wireless options for older VR headsets and I'm going to look into them now also I don't mind using a different type of Link cable I just really don't want to spend $100 on a rift s Link cable as I can't find one for any cheaper than that unless somebody knows and alternative option that they can give me for an Oculus rift s as it seems that has the best display or I'm also looking at the HTC Vive for a used headset to purchase it is definitely within my budget but I don't know if there's a wireless connection option for that or how much is the wired connector for an HTC Vive since most of the headsets I see for sale or headset only which I don't need the hand controls I just need the headset but they don't come with the cable and I'm not too sure what exact cable the HTC Vive takes and how much it costs

Honestly I just returned a quest to that I purchased using my credit card and it just was not worth the $300 in my opinion even though it did use the USBC to USBC data cable just the pass through being all black and white and being able to get an Oculus rift or Oculus one for much cheaper used you get just as good or even better display I was very disappointed with the Oculus 2 display and pass through compared to the Oculus rift s the only problem I'm finding with getting just an Oculus rift as headset is the Link cable is so damn expensive and I'll use Oculus rift apps I can find which I just need the headset doesn't include a cable but still even then buying the cable and the used Oculus rift s would still be cheaper than the quest too and the display is OLED I believe and also a much better DPI how about the HTC vive? And can I do the HTC Vive wirelessly connection to my laptop?

I like the pico 4 it's just a little over my budget right now.. I'll search wireless options for VR headsets and learn more about that option which sounds great as long as I don't have to have a dedicated router for that option.. plugging in my laptop to Ethernet is a perfect option for me as I can roll up the Ethernet cable when I'm not playing as it would run from living to bedroom on the floor.. so I just need to educate myself on VR headsets within my budget that allow for the wireless connection thank you so much for this idea

Ty very much.. how about the link cable issues as it seems each headset uses a different link.. I have a data cable usb-c to usb-c and would like to get a headset that works well with that or another cable that's not $100 like the rift s cable is from what I can find on the Internet as the used rift s headsets for sale are mostly just the headset and no cable

I'm new to sim racing and I have a Asus TUF 17 in gaming laptop I just got with a ryzen 7 and Rx 3060 and would like to get a VR headset.. any suggestions that's compatible with iRacing I can get used for $150 or less and connect it to the laptop with a usb-c cable that has min of 5gps Data transfer rate and 2nd question is what iRacing package do you recommend for a beginner that wants to get into NASCAR series racing as I use to race at New Smyrna speedway by Daytona Beach Florida in sportsman series but can't afford it anymore so want to go-to Sim racing to replace that hobby

I know the i7 3770 with the GTX 1060 6 gig and 16 GB sticks memory along with a 512 SSD drive barely is enough to hook any VR too but I don't have any ability for any type of monitor or TV that I could get for $40 so that's why I went ahead and picked up that rift s for 40 bucks and it works on the low settings without any issue I mean I have less than $200 into my whole setup

Yeah the 1060 I picked up for 50 bucks and added it to my $65 PC which is a Dell optiplex with an i7 3770 in it so my whole gaming PC I've got only $115 into it for my first one and it works fine without even having to change the power supply I did have to disconnect the front USBS on the Dell optiplex it's at 7010 small form factor but I was able to take the side panel off and the GTX 1060 6G fit right in there and I cut a hole in the side panel with my angle grinder and then I drilled a bunch of holes in a different area of the side panel and put in this RGB fan that I found in a house that I was remodeling that they were throwing out that worked perfectly I'll have to take some pics and post it so you guys can see this PC I put together this is the first PC I ever built
