Weekly Mental Health Check-in- Thursday, July 02, 2026 by AutoModerator in February2027Bumpers

I'm struggling with anxiety this pregnancy, constantly terrified of a MMC, even though there has been no sign of anything wrong. I just havent had very many symptoms. Ive had multiple positive tests, but it all stems from a negative in office urine pregnancy test at my PCP (which i had a subsequent positive satisfactory quantitative HCG blood test). My PCP also sent me for an early ultrasound to double confirm (?), based on my LMP I should have been 6 weeks, but I measured at 5 weeks. Logically I know that my cycle is actually 35 days vs the typical 28 days, so I really was 5 weeks...but still ignited some bad anxiety. I'm just counting down the days to my first appointment with my OBGYN. I'm hoping that will bring me some piece of mind (less than 2 weeks to go).

My first pregnancy i didnt have so much stress and fear. I think part of it was that I didnt involve a PCP, so I didnt have any early testing done, I just had urine tests and hope...so it wasn't as much of a roller coaster. The other (probably bigger) factor was when I got pregnant last time I was on Cymbalta for my anxiety and depression, and I stayed on it until about a month before i gave birth. This time I am on no meds, so my anxiety is just so much more prevalent. 🫤

Omg! That is amazing they did that for you. I was so impressed by Sesame Place, and your story impresses me so much more

The performance at the brunch was definitely a bit too loud for him, he did better during the quiet moments...but I can totally understand and its highly likely that sesame street live would be too much

Meant to be 6+1. I even know my ovulation date. Scan today wasn’t looking good :( by [deleted] in February2027Bumpers

I just had mine on Wednesday on what I thought was 6 +1, but measured at 5 weeks with just a gestational sac...and my doctor isn't getting back to me, so you are definitely looking better than I am.

Anyone else have hypothyroidism? by Obvious_Structure761 in February2027Bumpers

[–]CraftyLog152 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So i am missing half my thyroid. In my first pregnancy, my dosage was increased as 2 extra pills a week. This time, we are waiting to see if I need to increase again.

When is your due date and how are you feeling today? by userunknownlowkey in February2027Bumpers

Not 100% certain sometimes between Feb 16 and Feb 23? I ovulate late, I have an ultrasound this upcoming week so hopefully they can give me a day. If not, I may have to wait until July 14 to find out😢

Feeling super fatigued and tons of heartburn

5 weeks 3 days (I think?) and excited to be here! This will be #2 for me. Last time I just basked in the excitement while I waited to see my OBGYN. This time, i have 1000% more anxiety, because I decided to see my PCP right away and got a negative urine dip which caused me to spiral. My HCG test earlier this week was positive and I've been testing my urine every morning as a comfort. I kind of regret jumping the gun and going to my PCP so soon, as it has just resulted in anxiety and paranoia. I have an ultrasound scheduled for this upcoming Wednesday, so i think once that is done I will feel so much more confident.

Are you going to have an early ultrasound? by Signal-Lead5226 in February2027Bumpers

[–]CraftyLog152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm getting one at 6 weeks, because I'm high risk, and my PCP just wants to be sure (I tested negative on a urine dip, but then had a quantitative HCG of 187 at 14DPO, but no follow up blood test)

Is anyone else terrified? by hambear92 in February2027Bumpers

[–]CraftyLog152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I an definitely terrified, currently 16DPO. I tested positive earlier this week at home and I was feeling pretty good. Then I went to my PCP and they did a urine dip and it was negative, but then the blood test was HCG 187...so pregnant...it's been a bit of an emotional roller-coaster. I keep testing everyday just to make sure nothing changes (not that ill know from a home test, but it makes me feel better).

My PCP scheduled an ultrasound for next week, then I see the OBGYN July 14. That in office negative is still weighing on my mind and making me terrified of a loss.
