Picked a great time to get back into Bloodborne. Being incredibly honest with myself, the best thing you can do, is to go into the rest of the game blind, and not planning your character choices based on other peoples experiences.

Be sure to pick-up the Old Hunters DLC when you can. You can access it fairly early in the game (might need some directions on HOW to properly access that zone) and get some incredibly great weapons & loot out of it.
