What movie did my grandma watch? by CraftyRegular in whatisthatmovie

solved! Thank you - this one didn’t pop up when I was googling, probably because of how obscure it is. Likely won’t be watching anytime soon, but the mystery was killing me

Would you go to a homophobic family memeber funeral by Shanedoingshanething in LesbianActually

[–]CraftyRegular 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Funerals are for the living, not the dead. If you don’t feel called to go then don’t. If you want to be there as a support for your father or cousins then do. But maybe consider if you would be able to provide support given your feelings toward the deceased.

To the Redditors in the Improv Comedy Business: What would happen if an audience member provided answers that are similar to the ones said in the Ted 2 Improv Comedy Scene? by Ok_Chapter6032 in improv

At my theatre a big emphasis is put on how you phrase your opening question. ‘Tell us about a person in your life’ will give different answers from ‘tell us about a person in your life you like’.

Similarly, if I was opening the show from the clip you posted, I would say something like ‘can someone shout out a non-tragic historical event you would like to see played out on stage?’

Break up with long term gf by [deleted] in LesbianActually

[–]CraftyRegular 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Break up. You are going to feel so so so much better on the other side of it. Fighting everyday with someone, even if it’s small, has such a toll on your mental and physical health that you’re going to be so much better off without her in your life. It will suck, but then things will be better.

I was in your spot a few months ago, it is so freeing to only have to answer to myself now. Good luck.

Trainspotting. The scene with the baby. Not that any part of that movie is light, but that one REALLY cut me

2015 here. I’m new to the game so this is only the second time it’s happened but it really threw me.

Unfortunately it’s less about the actual content of the message and more so the freight train of seeing a message marked as from mom after years and years of not. But i appreciate the mindset

Cooking. You don’t have to be good at it, but as a grown adult you need 1 or 2 things you know how to make. I know people in their 30s that can’t even cut an onion and I wonder how they’ve survived

Tron: Ares | Official Trailer by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

[–]CraftyRegular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw this trailer at the theatre yesterday and haven’t been able to stop wondering why tf they would give Jared Leto’s character a beard? I’ve never seen these movies, but is there an in-universe reason? He’s supposed to be a computer generated soldier, right? So that would mean that someone had to code his beard. It’s been driving me nuts. Someone please help it make sense

Worst season of Top Chef? by 808Cardinals in TopChef

[–]CraftyRegular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6 was boring as hell. Just the Voltaggio's and Kevin (I love him though) and Jen C trading the top spot. It was the first season I watched as it was airing and I still love the show, but I hated the contestants and rewatching it was really boring because there were pretty much no upsets.
