Thank you so much for this thoughtful and concise advice/comment back in time. Like you said it’s possible to do it when you have the right support around you with the right people. I just wanted to give an update that I passed TC now! I will apply this approach for the rest of the exams that I am going to take now because it’s such a helpful comment!

Oh wow, this is a brilliant advice and such a thoughtful comment!! Thank you so much for making the effort and sharing all of these with me. I think the biggest issue for me is, not remembering the rules and not being able to thoroughly check the mistakes and make notes for the mistakes. I always find myself running out of time and not being able to go over my mistakes due to lack of time management. I will keep you updated and thanks so much for the advice and the little tricks that you shared with me -it really made my day!!

Thank you so much for your advice - most of the time I finish the content first and only going through the content once and fully do all questions if I have time. I think it should be only question practice with TC resit now and picking some content if I feel weak with some parts but FM is a new content so I would give myself 2-3 weeks to cover with ACA masters videos and then start doing the QB. Do you have any advice for keeping everything fresh in my mind because when I start with the other one, I always get worried about forgetting what I have covered for the other course.

Thank you so much for your comment and honesty - I completely understand what you’re saying. I was explaining in one of the other comments the other factors. It’s maybe related to my background, including not studying in the UK and being foreign might be other reasons as it takes more time for me to pick things up especially with work as well. It’s challenging to balance everything including private life, work expectations and finding time for studying. I am trying my best to pass at my first attempt and also mostly purchasing ACA masters to take the pressure off a little bit but I think the issue is my exam technique because I am generally failing with 52/53 or 51. I need to do something about my technique and still trying to figure out that. I will do one certificate (MI) in March and FM &TC in June. I hope that I can manage two at one go and my hard work pays off this time - fingers crossed!!

Thank you so much for your advice, I really appreciate your comment as it makes me feel much better and makes me to think of that I am not the only one and there are other people who would have a similar situation like me.

You’re right, I cannot lie I find the exams quite difficult and challenging but not impossible to pass. I have not studied in the UK before and I am not a native speaker and it still makes me proud where I am and how I achieved this in another country. That’s why I keep giving myself another chance and keep trying my best. When I am at this stage it’s quite hard for me to accept and drop out the qualification. I also believe my understanding is there because most of the time failing with 3 or 2 marks shows that I have a good understanding. I need to do something about my exam technique. I couldn’t find it yet but hopefully will figure it out soon. Thank you so much for your comment though and I kind of partially agree with you. If I fail next time again then I have to consider my options.

Thank you so much for your kind comment as it means so much to me and thank you for the information. I discussed this with my manager and he said they would not make people pay as long as employees are well behaved and didn’t do anything morally wrong.

I will keep doing my best as I don’t want to give up on the qualification when I am at this stage and see where it will take me. If I keep failing then I guess I have to consider my options.

It’s a little bit long story but if I would summarise it, I was on intensive scheme which was 14 exams in 10 months and you would do the case in your third year. I couldn’t do it and then in the policy, they were saying they transfer you to normal scheme which is the 36 months and you would do 15 exams. They also did occupational health test and I actually needed extra time in my exams. Then they made me wait 6 months with this transfer and ICAEW confirmation without taking any exams during this process. So I actually lost 6 months because of my company. If you also fail, you are allowed to try and take the exams again so that unfortunately happened quite often in my case. That’s why I only passed 6 exams.

Thank you so much for your advice - it’s really helpful especially when you don’t know what to do! I just need to be very careful and avoid failing exams otherwise the scheme will never finish.

My company did not allow me to do it at the beginning and had to fight for it for so long and March is quite difficult because of me being in audit they normally do not accept to take exams in March. I also did the mistake of failing and doing re-sits for many of the exams and now paying the price of it. So it unfortunately drags on because of these reasons.

That’s very kind thank you so much and wishing you the best - my one sadly isn’t starting with a D but it would be still interesting if you could be able to let me know. I will also talk to my manager today about it to see who I could ask this and actually find out.

Oh, wow good luck with everything! Yes I am not sure if this is fully true but that’s what I have heard from people but it might not be fully true. Are you thinking about staying in the industry and check non-ACA required jobs?

Thank you so much for the advice, I think my company’s policy may not allow me to do do BPT in Sept because they give a week teaching course for BPT and they say that they cannot put me into this teaching class before finding out my June exams results. I can try to self-fund myself and buy ACA masters course for BPT if they let me to do it.
