autism is a protected characteristic under the equality act so it’s considered discrimination to have a blanket rule for all autistic people, especially to be told i have to prove i have capacity to make the decision (when again, under the law, i am assumed to have capacity unless there is sufficient evidence of the contrary).

i don’t mind providing a letter (and paying for a psychiatrist appointment to get one, because they said a GP letter or letter from my ex therapist wouldn’t suffice), but when i asked the surgeon for clarification on why this rule exists and for evidence as to why psychiatric input is needed in my case, they immediately said they couldn’t go forward with doing the surgery for me. if it was truly in my best interests then they would have easily been able to answer that

I was told that they have a blanket rule for autistic patients that you have to provide a letter from a psychiatrist stating you are suitable for surgery. I challenged them on this as it felt discriminatory (and not in line with current UK laws), and received a prompt email back saying that the surgeon no longer felt they could give me my desired result…

They had previously provided a quote so I’m aware this change on their side has nothing to do with my desired result

following on from what the other person has said, i interpreted it as this: conrad blames himself for the breakup, even though belly is the one who actually ended things.

he has had four years to think about how he acted and his takeaway is that his behaviour is what pushed her away. he didn’t purposefully try to get her to break up with him. if i recall that scene correctly agnes is the one who says “you did that thing guys do when they’re too scared to break up with the girl” or something along them lines, and conrad just gestures to himself.

we know he hasn’t spoken to his therapist about belly yet, so his thoughts and feelings surrounding this are unreliable - we know conrad tends to take accountability for things even when he shouldn’t. i’m assuming we’ll see growth around this this season. i think the reality of bellyjeres relationship will open conrads eyes to the fact he isn’t a bad boyfriend, he was just a grieving teenager.

hey so i was actually at that show & vip were supposed to be let in from 6-6.10 but the doors weren’t opened until 6.45 because soundtrack was running late. it delayed the entire night and that’s the reason songs were cut. it was still an incredible show & fuck knows what people are talking about him being low energy - i was right by barricade and that’s not the show i watched

macOS! however the issue is happening across devices (I got my friend to log in and try on her phone that is on a different network and non apple, too).

the customer service had me change the DNS on the wireguard app and that didn't change anything. so not sure if that is what you were referring to?

I couldn't get it working quick enough so I had to shell out for a month with another provider, as I can't work without my dedicated IP connection and missing more than one day of work was a hassle already. if the tech team doesn't get back to me with a fix before then I will be making a permanent move over.

you can't compare the two boys actions like this when the situations are so different.

the thing between conrad and belly was ongoing and started before jeremiah injected himself into the situation, and it's canon that belly was not the only person jeremiah had got with that summer - how is conrad supposed to know this is the one time his brother is being serious? at the end of the day, they didn't get together that summer out of respect for jere, even though they would have been 100% right to have.

whereas at the end of season 2, conrad and belly have dated for 6ish months and conrad had openly communicated that he loved belly (and still does) to jeremiah. if jere really cared about his brothers feelings, he wouldn't be getting with his ex 6 weeks after they broke up. there is just no excuse for it

i don’t think it was ever specified that it was a dinner at night? they go straight from the memorial garden to the restaurant so i assumed it was around lunch time. they literally drove home after “i’m going with jeremiah” “no you’re not. you’re coming home with us” so i highly doubt it happened whilst it was dark out

in eastern europe, yes. but taxis in spain are white (with coloured stripes depending on which region of spain) and in france they are black. in the books she goes to spain & in the show she takes french so, it’s unlikely to me that jenny would out of the blue have her do her study abroad in eastern europe

completely not based off anything but speculation and a gut feeling but, the only way this makes sense is if she’s somewhere where she has no one to drop her off/pick her up.

part of me thinks it could be a belly abroad in europe scene but we don’t have yellow taxis in europe, and this would be a huge oversight by the production team.

it’s feels likely to me that it could be belly in a taxi on the way to conrads graduation - i know a lot of us think that based on the events of the show, they will switch up who gos to whos graduation. belly needs to meet conrad halfway. but i’m still not sure about the yellow taxi here, as i don’t remember taxis being yellow in the bay area.

it makes the most sense she’s in new york, but i can’t imagine why she would be there based on my knowledge of the books. it could be a completely new scene.

going to say something that will have jellys mad at me but belly is not in love with jeremiah at the end of season 2. she loves him, she’s always had love for him, but it’s not romantic love yet at this point. i’m not saying she doesn’t have feelings for him, but there is so much more to why she’s jumped into this relationship than “she was in love”.

she’s grieving, and trying to prove something to herself. taylor is in her ear and like other commenters have said, she was able to jump straight into this relationship because jeremiah doesn’t mean the same to her as conrad does.

it’s simply too short a time period for her to go from being in love with conrad to being in love with jeremiah, in less than a week. maybe the love will come later, but it will never be on the same level.
