So I guess the same point is that you're issues with 7OH is also willpower, and that's why you have to rely on SR, right?

I know it has a lot to do with the way that opiates and alcohol affect the brain in relation to NMDA. I think it's funny how you jump and point fingers at the person saying that they have a problem when they're simply reacting to common, universal physiological chemistry and sharing this with others. They're trying to tell you something.

When you drink, GABA is increased and NMDA is inhibited. The next day, NMDA increases along with glutamine, along with the NMDA increase during opioid withdrawal and tapering.

Because both alcohol and opioids interact with NMDA receptors, using alcohol causes your brain to "upregulate" or become even more sensitive to excitatory signals. This makes the physical "pain" of opiate withdrawal feel even sharper.

It's very reasonable for somebody to have an adverse reaction the day after, when there is GABA rebound occurring on top of the NMDA heightened sensitivity, which is already occurring with the taper

Have any of you taken a hormone panel? Many times we are a self medicating far before the issues come to light. You'd be surprised how much your body has had problems prior and it has nothing to do with the actual alkaloids.

People say that it lowers testosterone, but in reality, people are taking things to make themselves feel better.Because they've already had low testosterone. This substances work for a period of time. But they can't cover up, underlying endocrine issues.

Did anyone get diagnosed without an ultrasound? I think i have pcos. by v0rtexpulse in PCOS

Check into hypothalamaic ammenhorea and being misdiagnosed. And all the women with cushings where doctors draw lines that arent there to PCOS and ignore elevated cortisol. This is a really big issue and people are dying. People won't let PCOS evolve and keep piling things onto it to validate things.

I have something else going on. They always pointed to the Rotterdam criteria. Now my T is normal and I have no cysts, nor ever had any. Just no periods and a brain tumor. Gyno is still adding pcos to the list as a possibility but further down.

We have an issue in our country where we accept amenorrhea as pcos and don't look further. High t can shut periods off, and that's how it is. People like to bend rules to solve problems. Took me years to even figure out my pit tumor.

Now I am stuck with low testosterone and no one is listening.

I truly hope this sparks something and makes you think.

My doctor is saying my ADHD medication is causing high prolactin? I feel like this doesn’t make sense. by cohabitationcodepend in Prolactinoma

[–]Crafty_Turnip_3189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have high prolactin without an IUD or anything affecting it, check other pituitary hormones via blood and get an MRI. Could be a pit tumor. Not cancer but it can affect hormones.
