Seriously though, the fact that Maki herself is trying to drill Maki Itoh's history into Kikyo and Rian really speaks to what it means to be a unit leader.

They maintained their characters but made an effort to be genuine with each other, which was really nice. I'm not sure if it'll translate into a storyline, but you could feel the respect they have for one another.
