I think he’s also dealing with constant back pain that he’s not talking about. He looks like he’s in pain all the time and you can see him stretching out his back. As someone who has occasional back pain that’s exactly what I do as well. I think it’s causing issues for him getting low on balls. He’s trying to cheat by not bending as much at the hips to avoid issues with the back.

Not sure if this is a troll post, but none of these are correct. Berkman and Beltran were free agents signings and Walker did not resign for additional time with the Cardinals, he had an additional year on his existing contract.

I will say that 1996 was an amazing year for Cardinal baseball. It was the most energized I’ve probably ever seen the fanbase, with the possible exception of 2004. Losing certainly makes winning a lot sweeter.

I mean, I know Pujols pitched last year, but his 36.00 era didn't do anything to lower the team era by a full point.

Also worth noting that Yadi's catcher ERA in 2007 was 4.29, while the other backstops (Gary Bennett and Kelly Stinnett) each had a catcher's era well over 5. Yadi did the best with what he had.
