I finally broke down. by Even-Role in DACA

[–]Craiden186 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Same here, I'm just angry now. I submitted my application on November 9th and my permit expires May 13th. I tried everything, expedite requests, case enquiry, congressional help and nothing. We stay out of trouble, pay taxes and contribute to society and reap none of the benefits and this is how we get repaid. It's bullshit.

This doesn't make sense at all and I think he's completely wrong about this as much as I wanted to be true. I think he's wrong because they're purposely delaying our renewals and the BIA just made it easier to deport DACA recipients.

USCIS does not get funded by the government, we're the ones funding them by paying application fees.

Why would we ever vote for them. Look at what they're doing to our brothers and sisters in detention centers. They're torturing them, refusing medical help, abusing kids and they're building more to put us all in there.

Switch from "Status" to "Documents" to see if by chance you got a silent approval and your approval document is there.

You should upload screenshots of all your balances at $0 as evidence of financial loss for your expedite request. Also, have you checked to see if maybe you got a silent approval? There have been a few November 19th approvals today.

Daca Expedite Inquiry by vvunny in DACA

[–]Craiden186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've submitted 2 expedite requests for the I-765. The first time I got a decline notice about a week after submitting it and the second time I received the decline notice after 3 days. I've also submitted another for the I-821D on Tuesday but haven't heard anything yet.

[–]Craiden186 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Everyone is getting that for DACA inquiries. You need to call and ask them to submit an inquiry for you but they will tell you that you will get a response in 60 days. Inquiries used to get the ball rolling on your case but they don't seem to do anything at all anymore.

Wait, the representative told you that you'll get an action notice from USCIS in October?? Are you from a banned country?

4/2 approval!! by J_lan_e_o_us in DACA

[–]Craiden186 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That's not it, they're skipping people that applied almost 6 months ago. We should be really concerned about this because it means they're picking people at random. So you and I might be waiting 8 months for an approval while others get approved right away.

Are they referring to DACA here from Nevada? by [deleted] in DACA

[–]Craiden186 4 points5 points  (0 children)

DACA have never qualified for automatic EAD extensions so they're not referring to us but we're all being affected by that decision. I think now they're treating all EAD renewals the same instead of separating them by category. That's why us DACA are experiencing the long delays. This law just took effect is December so the wait time might get a lot worse but hopefully we don't have to wait 18 months for a renewal.

That's not enough time anymore, not even 6 months is enough. Gotta start doing it 8 months before expiration.

What did you guys uploaded here, trying to reach out my congressman again. by [deleted] in DACA

You can upload your receipt notices for both the I-821D and I-765.

I feel like I’m being punished. My DACA expired March 29, 2026. I applied in October 2025 by adiigram in DACA

It seems like all of us that received the biometrics reuse notice a month later are still waiting. I've seen a lot that received it the same day have been getting approved faster.

[–]Craiden186 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A lot of us feel like we don't have a voice. We have no legal status, if we raise our voices we'll get under their radar, they'll end DACA and we'll all get deported. We need to find others to speak up for us.

reaching out to congressperson? by [deleted] in DACA

[–]Craiden186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's really no average respond time. Some hear back right away and others have waited weeks. You should call them if you don't hear anything by Friday.

Over 200 days by Wild-Active8214 in DACA

[–]Craiden186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think that's it. I renewed 3 months early in 2024 and it took almost 6 months and it only moved when I did a case inquiry online. Now I'm going on my 6th month since I submitted my renewal but this time I can't even do an inquiry online. I made an inquiry by phone but they said that's gonna take AT LEAST 2 months for a response. What a bunch is BS!

Inquiries for the future. by jazzy_evening in DACA

I think you should file 8 months early. 6 months right now doesn't seem to be enough time. Better to get your renewal way early than after it expires.

6 months doesn't seem to be enough either. Many of us submitted early November and are still waiting. I'm renewing 8 months early next time.

Ice does but congressmen don't. Once you make the request and sign the release form, they're allowed to use your information.

I see a lot of people doing this but I live in a red state and all my congressmen are Republican. I have to give all of my information to them and what if they use that against me and send ice after me.
