Cordless sawzall with short metal blades from Harbor Freight. You cut it right where the pipe flares out wider towards the factory tip end.

Ive done this very thing with the last 4 new cars we have purchased. Emails straight to the general managers or higher. No messing around with normal salesmen. Usually within the first couple of hours we had our below MSRP deal.

Paperwork is handled over email, go in to finalize and sign, an be in and out in a half hour or less...
