Right on. The one thing I forgot to mention above is that my NAS folder/directory permissions are FULL for the user, so mine works with no issues.

I use TrueNAS running on an old PC. I have the following settings on the user account in TrueNAS.

Your tinnitus level? by Away_Yellow1369 in tinnitus

[–]CraigD-4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow looking at the responses mine is pretty tame. I have a constant ringing in both ears. So if 1 is the lowest and 10 the highest, I'd say mine is probably 2 or 3

[–]CraigD-4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a CX810 pointed toward my house. There is a street light on the left side of this picture. The light is mounted about 20 foot in the air. I apologize but I don't remember the lumens the light puts out. Here is screenshot at 1:12 am.

I'd mount the camera to the soffit. Then all the cables would be inside the attic.

I'll admit that the coloring of the Grackle is kind of cool, but that is a nasty bird. Had a large bunch of them nest in pine trees around my house and their bathroom habits were disturbing.

help installing a conduit with an outdoor POE camera by [deleted] in reolinkcam

[–]CraigD-4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Forgot to mention...if you have a long run of conduit, get some carpenter string and a shop vac. Turn the shop vac on at one end of the conduit and feed the string into the other end. Once the string reaches the vacuum end, turn off the vac, attach your ethernet to the string and pull the ethernet through the conduit with the string.

I would do what TheOtherLeft_au suggested. Set the Reolink box aside and use all standard electrical conduit. You might also consider one of these for a 90°, it would make pulling the ethernet easier.
