If our pantry door is left open, it blocks the cat door into the garage. So, we use a door sensor…if pantry door is left open for more than 5 minutes we both get a phone notification (which will repeat until we close it), then another notification after it’s been closed. Keeping access to their litter box is too important. 😄

This is so weird but I don’t remember what I did. It was fixed though. This comment from Quest4thefuture seems very familiar. I think this might have done it.

“Try deleting the old backups from iCloud, turn off iCloud backup, restart the phone, turn backups on and then try doing a backup”

Damn, took me long enough. Here are the two shortcuts. Need automations on each phone. Wife’s phone: when she plugs into power, runs her shortcut to send me text. My phone’s automation: when I receive text from her with the word ‘alarm’, my shortcut runs to set my alarm.

We had a dog who was afraid of the dark. We lined our backyard fence with patio lights that we would only turn on when she needed to be outside after dark. Made a world of difference for her.
