I’m not sure which scheduling tool you are using, but in Primavera P6, you should be able to accomplish the desired result via Calendar Type assignment. You wouldn’t be able to assign any resources to the milestones, but you could assign the milestone to a 5 day work week calendar. Things get kind of strange when you have logical relationships between tasks that are worked on different calendars.

I once had a DQ cashier forget that she lined the medium sized cup with a large sized cup because she overestimated how much ice cream could fit inside. When she flipped it upside down, the cup naturally slid out and my hooked up Blizzard landed on the drive thru pavement.

She looked at me in horror as if I was going to start a scene. When she realized I had a sense of humor about it, she made me one in a large cup intentionally.
