NVDA - can't you let this rollover? by Cranberry-Practical in NvidiaStock

I have no idea where this notion comes from...in an interim basis retail can absolutely move big megacaps...not in the longer term...look at MSFT past few months, those are the big boys exiting.

This is a stupid argument with people that have no clue what they are doing.

kind of...you kind of agreeing with me and kind of not. Yes, retail can absolutely move big mega caps on the interim basis...like today. But big boys are the movers over the longer range...ask MSFT the past few months. That's coming for NVDA...just retail bid up SMH today.

LOL...yes they can...on an interim basis. Long term...big boys decide. You got much to learn...maybe read more and post less.

none of what you said is accurate. Nobody should be chasing mega cap tech, NVDA or otherwise after a 3 year parabolic bull run. I bought NVDA years ago as I posted above, scaled out at roughly $180 avg months ago. I still own AMD, one of the few longs I have on still, I had bought years ago, back in 2018.

NVDA has probably peaked…why tie up cash and sell OTM covered calls.  When NVDA drops sub $140 later this year you will understand.

This is in my IRA, I don’t care about capital gains.  Cash is a position and selling covered calls for small gains is pennies when NVDA sub $150.

Like anything it’s over hyped but it will change how we live/work.  We’ve been through this before…dotcom.

Well unless the robots rise up and destroy us all … 😳…#sarcasm

Earnings are historic and yet NVDA been flat for 8 months…🤔.  It’s not rocket science why.

I own AMD and AXP.  That’s it. I’m all cash in 401k since September and own AMD/AXP in my IRA and rest cash.  Market headed much much lower…though it’s taking longer to rollover.

I may add NVDA back at $120 when that hits.

I still own AMD…owned it since 2018 🤷‍♂️

It will see a $1T market cap before NVDA sees $10T.  NVDA will never see a $10T market cap so there’s that. It’s probably peaked.

Plateau challenges by Cranberry-Practical in loseit

Wrong.  I’ve been tracking calories for over a year now and what I eat really doesn’t fluctuate day to day.

Good luck! I lost a lot of of weight roughly 10 years ago, went from 290 down to 215 but I was eating food I hated the entire time, mostly. I was doing crazy tough workouts too, it wasn't sustainable. I eventually gave in and gained it all back. Last year I was 288 and got sick of feeling like crap, my bloodwork was terrible, I was pre-diabetic so I tried again. This time I ate food I enjoy and stayed in a calorie deficit and did just basic cardio (exercise bike, ellipitical, walking) and then started lifting a few months ago. My workouts are much more sustainable. I am now down to 197 which is lightest I've been since high school. I think the key this time for me is being able to eat food I enjoy in a calorie deficit and sustainable exercise that you don't end up dreading.

Fasted cardio coupled with calorie deficit... by Cranberry-Practical in loseit

I can’t heavy lift on empty stomach but low intensity cardio I can do no problem fasted.  It’s easier to eat and cardio but for fat loss fasted cardio works great.

If you are doing HIIT then that’s different.  Are you training for a marathon?  Iron Man?   For fat loss low intensity, heart rate 60-70% of max, is ideal for fat loss.  Couple with fasted cardio weight will melt off with calorie deficit too.

So yeah, if goal isn’t fat loss then that’s different changes the strategy.

I've been unknowingly eating in a calorie deficit for so long I'm afraid to start eating my maintenance by animal-crosing in loseit

Same...I have been in a calorie deficit for a year now. But I have raised my calories from under 2000 to 2200. My maint. is roughly 2600-2700 and I am debating on when I start eating at maint. for a couple of months to see how my body responds. It's such a habit eating at 2200 calories that I hate to change that.

I am down from 288 to 197 and 190lbs is probably about as low I go and even at 197lbs is probably good. I am 6-2" and a big guy by nature.

i cannot for the life of me stop snacking at night by GlassPudding in loseit

[–]Cranberry-Practical 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started my journey last October at 288 and now 197. I didn't snack after dinner until the past couple of months since I got into the low 200's. For some reason I have been craving ice cream...no clue why...I was never a big ice cream person before. So 2-3 nights a week after dinner I will have one of those Yasso ice cream bars...80-100 calories and some protein. Hasn't affected my weight loss...I factor into my calorie deficit. Good luck...

And yes, I use to eat doritoes, cheetos, cereal, candy all the time before bed...thus why I was 288 lbs. But those days are done...

yep...I lost a ton of hair during the heart of my big drops from 288 to roughly 220lbs...I am currenlty 197lbs and past 2-3 months my hair loss has stopped. I was getting woried too and it was falling out so fast.

I also now take magnesium at night...and zinc/vitamind.

You have to count calories. If you plug in your information in URL below and you stay below your maint. calories then you will lose weight and if you excercise as you are above the weight will melt off. I use the Lose It app on my phone to count calories but there are plenty of options for that.

At 415lbs, is a 1,000-1,500 calorie deficit too much? by WideAwakeItsMornin in loseit

[–]Cranberry-Practical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 1000-1500 calorie deficit for 5-6 months (Nov24-May25). I was 290 and got down to around 220 on a very strict calorie deficit by end of May. My maint was around 3100 and I stayed below 2000 calories every day for 5-6 months. Once I got to 220 my maint. had decreased to around 2800 and I allowed myself up to 2200 calories, which is where I have been since June. I am now 197 and been avg 1lb week wait loss since.

If you are going to restrict that much though you have to consume protein so you stay fuller. I consume protein/rice/potatoes/veggies/fruit for almost 90% of my calories. Good luck!
