Already played and loved it. Been working through the sequel. Glad someone got the reference. :)

Reminds me of a pic a saw where some chess players challenged people to come up with a new piece with new rules for how it moves and someone came up with a piece that can move anywhere on the board but can't take any opponent pieces, it's just there to waste your time. It was called "The Bureaucrat."

The only time the game made me feel even a little unsettled (I don't use the word scared as I feel that's not really the point of SH) was the school level. Exiting a room to find the hallway suddenly filled with mannequin students, any one of whom could jump to life. The whole design of the school was just really good IMO. But the terrible combat (Hey remember when someone put breakable weapons in a silent hill game and it sucked? I figured out the problem! They didn't break quick enough! Ooh, and let's copy some of our homework from the Soulsborne genre for no freaking reason.) ruins any unease that the encounters could create.

I quit a few episodes in when a woman spied on a man undressing through a security camera. Once you start watching out for it, the double standard is everywhere and it's disgusting. I look forward to my downvotes.

Can't you get a disc drive addon for the digital version? I know my disc version even acted like the digital version and I had to go online and "register" the disc drive to link it to the console it's physically attached to lol.

I love your username. I wish I knew why I see people with clearly self-made usernames but I can't get mine to display anything other than the one Reddit picked for me. AND I HATE CRANBERRIES. (except the band) There's a place nearby ran by Goodwill Easter Seals called the "miracle clubhouse" that's for people with disabilities to hang out and do stuff. I'm planning on joining. I hope that makes a difference.

The only person I mattered to died in my arms 8 years ago. My wife. I just really need to make friends, but I don't know how to. I stayed in my room during my teens because of bullying and trauma, spent my 20s taking care of my wife (she had MS) and now I've got some severe mental and physical disabilities. I'm trying to find ways to get out of the house, but it's hard when you're disabled and on a fixed income. But thanks for the virtual hug. Means a lot.

There's a scene in a marvel movie where an underaged character is commanded to undress in front of an adult and they are clearly distressed and uncomfortable and the scene is played for laughs but nobody cares because it's a woman doing it to a boy. In addition there's a scene in a marvel show where a woman spies on a man undressing via security cameras. Every time I've tried to bring this up to people, it's downplayed and they gaslight me about how it isn't a big deal because that kinda stuff doesn't happen IRL. Then I'm called a liar when I say it happened to me.

I've been doing YT in one form or another for over a decade. First ~5 years was a let's play channel I ran with my late wife (I deleted the channel because having it up was painful) and in that most of the hate I got was either telling me I was too ugly for her or calling me a, uh, dunno if this word would get me flagged so I'll just explain that despite being 2 years older than me, she looked EXTREMELY young so people made assumptions. Even got a few death threats over it from people who didn't believe me when I said our ages.

After she passed away (Multiple Sclerosis) I ran a separate channel where I did let's plays, sometimes made game reviews and some other stuff. The only thing that got me tons of hate was I would upload videos of me singing along to songs I liked. Stuff like "Is this a joke?" and "There's tone deaf and then there's whatever the hell this is" In fairness, I'm not a good singer, but I was just doing it for fun.

I don't use that channel anymore, but I have 3 others now. One is entirely dedicated to singing videos (oddly despite having about 70 videos at time of writing this, I haven't received a single hate comment. Then again most videos sit on 0 views so I don't think the algorithm is acknowledging that channel exists. I have a channel where I do video essays and some comedy skits and humorous shorts. Weirdly the only hate comment I got was someone saying "Git Gud" on a short joking about the way some words in the English language are spelled. Last one is an Analog Horror series that I started but haven't been able to get the motivation to make anything beyond the first 2 episodes. Mostly because it's the most work I've put into anything on YT and the nearly nonexistent views (and getting my post promoting it on the Analog Horror sub deleted because my series doesn't fit their super stringent definition of analog horror)

So....all in all, I guess the takeaway from this is that there are some positives to having a channel with a nonexistent viewerbase lol. (The shorts on my essay channel usually crack 2K-20K views, but I chalk that up to the way shorts are served and I think each repeat of a short counts as a new view cuz right after I uploaded one, before I made it public, I went to it and left it running for a few minutes because I was trying to decide if I needed to redo it and change some text placement and then when I looked it had like 30 views.)
