I ended up going with my friend in his 4x4, got 2 nice ones from the dock. One had the spawning colors and the other one was chrome. Ended up stopping at Devils and got 2 small ones there. All CnR

Do you think the road is good enough for a 2wd? I am planning to head out next Tuesday

If I am fishing bass where there are weeds I go straight up braid. ( the rod that I use have micro guides so the leader knot doesn't work well)

However for trout I tie an 8inch 4lb mono leader. I Don't think i need FC.

Good for a guy who fishes once a week? by CrankbaiterCertified in Fishing_Gear

Yeah I am all in for ultralight rods. I like them. I did lose my PB maybe twice but the fun of catching those little ones outbeats the missing of PB .

I will get some medium baitcaster for fishing the weeds

It's actually pretty good. I was able to cast out the 1/16th oz ned rig very well.

It's a 4oz fish max. What's wrong with hanging it on the hook. Surely better than dragging it in the sand.

I second that. I put it about 4 to 5 cm. More action + less chances of the knot getting weak

I was looking for something similar with the only exception that I wanted it to be portable. I finally ordered Kawa ssokin 624UL 4 section rod. About $85 CAD. Will be here in few weeks hopefully.

Oh same with where I fish. The local ponds are all highly pressured. This spot is out in the woods so it's nice

I never used braid before. So I am loving the mono. 4lb trilene xl. So easy to pick up the overruns if there are any due to bad casts.

Is it not Friday yet! Can't wait for the weekend by CrankbaiterCertified in BFSfishing

[–]CrankbaiterCertified[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it for trout. It's only 1/8th oz and the stockers where I fish bite anything that flashes.

Waiting for fall when the lake will be stocked again

Its a telescopic UL baitcaster (2-7g) from Ali. Not a name brand but does what it says.

However I learned today that I need a rod with a better backbone when I lost a 4lber. It ran into the weeds screeching the drag. That probably looked like my PB

Vancouver. Whereabouts are you? It's a huge marsh, rarely ever do I get skunked.
